Premier Inn Chelmsford (Boreham)

Lovely clean hotel, helpful staff. The breakfast had everything you could think of. The only downside is the air conditioning. It was switched off when we arrived, so the room was very warm. It took 15 hours to cool the room just a few degrees.

Room advertised as having aircon but was very poor even on the highest setting. Temperate was 28 degrees. Didn’t sleep at all and couldn’t be moved as hotel was full. Shouldn’t advertise aircon as a feature when it clearly doesn’t work. Asked about a refund, was given a card and told to “fill in a form” nice of them to pass this onto the customer when they should have dealt with it there and then. I always thought premiere inn was a cut above the budget hotels, but I think the quality is slipping. Room had a strange smell, old smoke, just a very poor experience. Won’t stay again.

This is a standard premier inn. Room is reasonable and has a bath. The wifi is terrible. It annoys me when they advertise free high speed WiFi when it it 1M. There is a Green King pub next door with reasonable food but expensive beer. I probably would not stay here again.

One of the comfiest beds i have slept in for a long time . Very peaceful and a comfortable room would defiantly go back . The staff very friendly and helpful . Thurley enjoyable stay , did not use the restaurant as external to main building . Thanks to all for lovely time .

We would have had a nice stay had it not been for the elephants marching up and down and shouting to each other all night. It went on until 4am and my alarm was set for 4.45 so we bith had zero sleep. The receptionist seemed very unconcerned the next day.

Very warm welcome and comfortable room. Lots of parking on site and perfectly situated just off the A12. Bed and pillows were very comfortable room. Air conditioning in bedroom was welcomed. Breakfast was fabulous. Wide range of cooked items (some cooked to your requirements), fresh pastries and fruits. Good hot and cold drinks available.
