We stayed in the expansive Main Suite and were blown away by the soaring ceilings, massive windows, and romantic 4-poster bed. What we loved: Stunning Architecture & Garden: Incredibly detailed revival of this house reveals eye candy everywhere, inside and out. The Food: Come for the house, stay for the breakfast! The owners are fantastic, kind, and make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. Perfect location, in the city but away from the hustle and bustle, impeccable cleanliness, and truly unforgettable ambiance. The House of Mailly is a reason to visit Châtellerault and we’ll definitely return!"

B&B Hotel Chatellerault

"We stayed here for one night en-route to Portugal. Whether we were just unlucky with the room we were allocated, I'm not sure, but compared to other B&B Hotels we have stayed in, this one was disappointing. The room was extremely cramped, with limited access to the bed on one side and the other side of the bed didn't have a bedside table. The shower head would not sit in the cradle, which made showering difficult. Our room was at the end of the building, which meant that we were disturbed by the traffic noise. On the positive side, the car park is secure and well-lit and there is a small grassy area out the back for exercising your dogs. Having said that, I would stay here again, but would hope for a different room."

"Very average hotel: heating in the room very noisy, small and poorly heated room, breakfast unworthy of an Ibis. Only the staff was very friendly and the room quite clean. Finally, the hotel is located on the edge of a road and a busy roundabout, therefore noisy because it is poorly soundproofed."
