A little difficult getting out of the parking lot; however there is so much closer by! Gentleman at the front desk that afternoon, was very polite, as well as Michelle, the hotel manager, that assisted me the next morning!!

We slept there for one night due to a flight delay. It’s so decrepit you won’t believe it. All pics posted by other reviewers are accurate. Just avoid. I travel extensively. Worst experience ever. You just know it when you enter the place. Can’t believe it’s someone’s business. I would be ashamed.

This was hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First of all the area is really sketchy. The hotel is old and in rough shape, the room had an awful musty odour and it was just a creepy place. We had a stop over in Charlotte and then our flight got canceled so we had to find a place closeby that was affordable on short notice and I have stayed at Clarions before so didn’t think anything but it was awful. The clerk was lovely and tried to reassure my daughter but honestly we were scared. We were told they have security that patrols the plaza to keep ppl out. The hotel has an unusual stipulation ( IMO) that if u live within a certain distance of the hotel u cannot book a room there, seems suspect. And good thing I got an online deal for $97- as the walk in rate is $145+tx. This is a motel at best with a 1-2 star rating. Stay anywhere else and in that area I would recommend at least a full 3 star and higher.

Hotel staff was unfriendly and seemed bothered that we were even there. Lobby smelled old and musty. Not sufficient supplies in room. All of hotel needs touch up. Biggest issue was the front desk staff and their lack of care both on check in and check out.

I give this a solid average 3-star review - which meant I was rather pleased. I booked this hotel for a couple of reasons - it had a great star rating - and they offer a very good deal on a park and stay package. It was less than $100 when we booked it including the extra week of parking. (We parked for a week, and then stayed the night after our late flight return.) The lobby was extremely warm and humid upon arrival, and I'm sure very uncomfortable for the clerk. There was a large fan going behind her. The shuttle was prompt going and coming. The seats were rather worn, but both drivers were very kind and helpful. With the lobby being so warm, I was a bit anxious going up to the room, but we found it to be well air conditioned (to say the least) and clean and minimally worn. It made for a good night's sleep. I saw no ice machine on our floor so went downstairs and it was empty. There was a good size refrigerator and a room microwave. No USB ports but plenty of plugs. No bedbugs or noisy neighbors. Since this is not a "breakfast included" place, we drove to Zada Jane's on our way out of town, and spent $40 on a yummy breakfast. So maybe it wasn't quite the bargain we thought. Oh one more thing - checking in before us was a party who were staying the night before their flight. By the time they arrived the 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. shuttles were full, so they would have had to take the 3 a.m. shuttle to make their flight. (I think they decided on an Uber instead.). But be aware.

Robinson the shuttle driver took me to the airport and my stay at the Clarion was amazing!’ Thank you for having me and will be again I’m the future. I really like the free shuttle to the airport. Very convenient.

The place looked to be a bit more of a refugee camp than a hotel. On arrival, I dared not use my reservation, even without seeing a bedroom. The hallways were enough to tell me to leave. I found stenches, flickering lights, torn and badly buckled carpets, plaster missing from a wall, electric outlets falling out of walls, wall plaster crumbs on the hallway carpets, stained doors to rooms, a guest bathroom near the front desk that was locked, and an out-of-order guest washing machine with a puddle of mud inside of it.

I was put up in this hotel after American Airlines had delays and I missed my connecting flight. All the people who are put here by the airlines were on the 4th floor. The front desk woman was very nice (it was about 10pm) but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! First, the room we were given had unmade beds and the room was obviously not cleaned. It also smelled of mold/mildew. There were people sitting outside smoking and drinking right next to the side exit. There must of been multiple rooms like ours because there were multiple people complaining of the same issue. Also the people outside were yelling and screaming; basically having a party in the parking lot. They also don’t tell you that the hotel is 25-30 minutes from the airport! We decided not to stay here and left.

Typical hotel provided by airline. Not a great neighborhood but rooms were clean and service was friendly. Robinson, the shuttle driver was very helpful navigating the area. Needed an unplanned trip to the airport and he responded quickly.

Flying from CLT with an early morning departure and then a late arrival home, decided to get hotel for night before, leave the car and utilize their shuttle, and stay one night upon return. I found booking the stay/park/fly package cost more than doing them independently. So a reservation for pre-flight. One for just the parking. And one for return. Clarion is one of three adjacent hotels. The signs are there. And using the correct entrance will result entering right at the front desk. Place seemed clean, staff friendly. Rooms were okay. The furnishings are aged, a few falling into disrepair. Upon check in I let the clerk know I needed the shuttle and selected the 5am. It was there standing by when I came to the front about 4:45am. All three hotels use this shuttle so after we piled in we drove down to the next entrance for the next hotel. CLT is a small airport so there was only one drop off point. That was okay but it would have been nice to have two or three stops perhaps at the 1st airline sign, a stop midway, and at the end. This would have saved a 10 minute walk with luggage. The terminals are all interconnected so the walk was all indoors. Upon my return the next week, I called the hotel as I was headed to baggage claim and was told to wait beside the 1- which has signage reading Hotel Shuttles. It took a while but the shuttle arrived. Upon arrival to the three hotels I was looking for my car hoping it was still there and on one piece. After I saw it I felt silly for worrying. Upon checking in for the return stay, staff was still pleasant. Room was similar to one before. Overall everything went accordingly and I will be staying again in the future if I have an early departure or late arrival.

I stayed at the hotel on December 18-19, 2023. After a mishap with our flight due to uncontrollable circumstances we decided to stay overnight at the Clarion hotel. When We first arrived we waited At the front desk for nearly 30 minutes and no one was there to greet us. We then began to Look for the receptionist for about 10 min. At this time I came to a restrooms and knocked on a door. A male responded and I asked Him was he the receptionist and he stated yes. Shortly thereafter he came out , unapologetically. We told Him we needed a shuttle for the next day and he proceeded to write it down, (So we thought). This persons name was Jalen. The next day we responded to the shuttle 15 minutes before our pickup time and was told that our names were not on the list. We were amongst others who were told the same thing. Meanwhile, the shuttle was not there at the time that was told to us, which was 6 am. The shuttle finally arrived about 615 am and again no apologizes for being late. Once the shuttle came we were loaded up and ready to go. During the loading process, the driver disputed that we were in the lobby on time for the shuttle. This was easily disputed because we checked in with the front desk. It was amazing how the driver continued saying we were late. While in route to the airport, the driver began making rude comments, arguing with all passengers and stating we were late and he needed to respond back to the hotel to get more passengers. (Keep in mind that the vehicle was completely full). All of the passengers were in awe. We couldn’t believe what this man was saying. All passengers began asking him why are we returning back to the hotel since he was the one late. In response, He abruptly put on brakes and all the passenger were startled and thrust forward in the vehicle. This was done intentionally. After gasping and thinking we were gonna have accident, we just continued on the journey and remained silent due to the driver’s unstable behavior. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I hope this was an isolated incident, but by the way the hotel was maintained and operated, I’m thinking this is normal. I definitely will think twice before ever booking this hotel again, better yet, never use this hotel again. I also want to note that I usually don’t take the time to write comments about my hotel experiences, but this incident was so traumatic that I would not want anyone else to experience what happened to me.

Woke up to a bed bug walking across my pillow. Immediately took the pillow to the front desk with the bug still on the pillow. Front desk worker said we would be refunded for the room- we have NOT been able to get a hold of the manager or get a refund still after two months.

I have been waiting for the shuttle for an hour and I called after arriving and I was told they would be arriving in 15minutes. After repeated calls there “they are coming”, “it’s free sir”. WOW.

Horrible place. Our family was put up in this hotel when our flight was canceled. When we arrived at about 12:30 am, the disgusting stench of **** greeted in the lobby. We had no choice at that point but to stay. There was nothing nice or pleasant about this hotel. The front staff were not friendly and the rooms were very outdated. N
