Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston Channelview

The parking lot is gated, the hallways smell like pee, people are sleeping in the lobby and breakfast was just some toast and bagels. The room smelled musty and the bathroom paint was chipped and in need of some serious updating. I will not be staying here again. Normally I have great experiences with Fairfield’s, this does not meet the normal standard.

I found bed buds at 8pm. We talked to the front desk they didn't care. If we left they would give us our money for the day. But with everyone In hotels due to being displayced due to the weather a few weeks ago. We would have never found a place at now 10pm. We went and bought bed bug spray. We will never stay here again.

I had a blast everything wented great. The guy who checked me in was very professional with his work.The room was nice and set up real well. The only problem I had was the tv was a little outdated but, I made it work to my advantage to make myself comfortable. Other than that everything else was nice. I also enjoy the Breakfast everything was cook well and it fill me I thank you!! Looking forward to my next stay and maybe I will bring something to enjoy what I experience. Thank you for the comfort!!

Best hotel I ever stayed. Friendly staff and profesional. Will come back for sure. Room are clean and confortable. I have been here many times and they are on top of their game. Try and experience the warm hospitality they have.

Crystal and the entire staff are always so very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are always very clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed here multiple times in the last few months and each stay was very pleasant.

Absolutely not a tourist destination. Surrounding area is terrible. Comfortable room in a decent hotel. The daytime desk clerk could not have been more friendly, helpful, and professional. He always stood near the front desk, answered the phone on the first ring, and treated every guest like a big spender. The evening desk clerk was the polar opposite. She spent her entire shift sitting in the restaurant area with construction worker guests who were drinking beer. After trying to call the front desk several times, I walked down and realized why no one was answering the phone. The desk clerk was nowhere near the desk. Parking appeared to be secure when the gates were closed. Nice heated swimming pool and very minimalist workout room. The surrounding area is absolutely awful. I would not recommend anyone walking in a great distance from this hotel. I walked from the hotel to a Burger King, approximately 10 minute walk. You're passing under a freeway overpass which is stuffed with homeless encampments. The area is ugly and smells of chemical. There is absolutely no reason to stay at those hotel unless you're doing business nearby.

Front Desk lied about so many things. I don’t even know where to start. From a $250 “deposit” being charged, to them billing the wrong card and lying saying they couldn’t change it. Hallway smelled dank, had to move rooms due to AC continuing to stop working. Front desk lied to Marriott saying they didn’t move us rooms. I will never stay here again and no longer use Marriott. I had family drive 15 hours to see about my mom on life support. They made an already stressful time even worse!

Stayed on a weekend. Was informed that breakfast was from 7 to 10am. Came down at 9:42am and a lot of the food was gone. We started to get food and the kitchen lady (Alicia) continued to put food away. I started making waffles and turned to get some bread that I saw when I got there but it was gone. I looked at my phone and it was only 9:46am. I went to the kitchen door to ask the kitchen lady for some bread. She said in Spanish that she was putting everything away but told me I could grab bread from the tray she had if I wanted to. I took some bread and went back to the waffles with my daughter. My daughter asked me why there was hardly any food, and I told her I didn't know because breakfast should be out until 10. I was facing the counter and didn't know the kitchen lady was walking behind me but she must have heard me because she said to me in Spanish ( and sounded pretty annoyed) that she had to put everything away because there were no more people. She said this while still grabbing more things to put away. I told her WE were there trying to eat breakfast and that I know breakfast is not supposed to be put away until after breakfast hours end. She replied very rudely, "Pues asi lo hacemos aqui. ( Well, that's how we do it here.)" I couldn't believe this was happening. I was very disappointed that a Marriott hotel would not honor their breakfast hours and then treat their guests so rudely like this when they're trying to partake in what is supposed to be a complimentary service. The hotel was nice but with customer service like this, a guest is never going to come back or give any good feedback.

Nice stay. Clean and comfortable room. The parking area is gated and locked, which I appreciated. Only issue was the toilet needed a replacement part in the back to stop from making noise and constant running of the water. I informed staff so they could work on that. It can be a bit noisy if you have an outside room b/c it's by the interstate but other than that, no complaints. It's not far from the downtown area in morning commute traffic too (about 25-30 mins). I would recommend to others and would stay again.
