"We had a wonderful stay, starting with the warm welcome from the owner, with lots of tips for our visit to Chania. It is a charming historical building in a central location in the old town, a short walk from the harbour, in a quiet side street. We had a spacious and well-equipped room with a very comfortable bed, some lovely complementary wine, other drinks in the fridge, as well as fruit and chocolates. Our room had a small, private balcony but we also had access to the wonderful roof terrace - a green oasis with views across the town. Highly recommended!"

"We have scored this hotel a 3 out of 5 based on a blend of expectation, value for money and our experience. We stayed here as a couple for a week early July not long after the hotel’s opening. First things first, this is not what I would call a “Resort” hotel as the name suggests, there are very limited “Resort” facilities. As an example there are extremely limited sun beds around a small outdoor pool on the roof terrace where access to sun and a sunshade was pretty much impossible given the approach to sun bed reserving other guests were taking!! I can imagine when full or busy the roof area could feel even smaller. I would suggest a proactive approach by staff to managing the pool area would help. I would not consider this a great hotel for a family holiday unless simply serving as a base for days out at the beach etc. Whilst other reviews have mentioned a private beach area, this was certainly not the message we were directly given when we asked via Messenger before we arrived and was definitely not promoted as an available feature during our stay. There are no other hotel-organised entertainment options - in simple terms the hotel is mis-named as a ‘resort’. Think more a couples hotel or typical nicely appointed Hilton property with some relaxation areas. We didn’t try the spa. As expected there are a few teething issues:- the great ‘a La carte’ breakfast offering was somewhat haphazard in terms of length of service and consistency of being offered the various pastries, cold cuts and cheeses available although all food was great quality and very plentiful. Service from all staff, although new, was exceptional, friendly, courteous and aimed to please. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner but enjoyed fantastic cocktails, sushi and snacks at the rooftop terrace. Given its proximity to the old town, we got the impression that dinner time in the restaurant was ‘quiet’ without the vibrancy of the Chania port and old town and having done a quick comparison on our costs for eating & drinking out generously every lunch and dinner in various places compared to the all-inclusive option, I would not consider the all inclusive great value for money for the average couple. Other small niggles included a lack of drawer/shelf space for storing clothes and a general lack of promotion of the services available or communication 0n things like the in-room technology and beach areas etc. and squeaky beds! Having said all that, the location is phenomenal within 10 minutes easy walk of the Port and Old Town; short airport transfer from Chania; the property is beautifully appointed as are the rooms with large beds and great shower; the balcony plunge pool is more gimmick than usable, but a nice add on; staff are super-nice and all food and drink was excellent. In summary, a few early niggles, some difference to initial expectation, fantastic location, nothing to be truly disappointed by other than the lack of sun beds & beach beds and my"

"Overall a really nice and enjoyable 6 nights. Positives: Clean rooms and hotel Spacious (Maisonette) room Good quality food and in the majority very tasty. The 5 course a la carte is plentiful and so are the options at breakfast. Can also use the sister hotel (Pilot Beach Resort) which has its own stretch of beach and free sunbeds - note this is a family resort so lots of young children (predominantly german clientele). The resort is only a 5 min drive away and Amphora offers a free timetabled shuttle service. Close to restaurants and cafes nearby (in Georgioupoli). Irina and the blond lady at dinner (sorry we did not note her name down) were so friendly and accommodating. Negatives: The biggest gripe for us (on a beach holiday) is that towels, shower amenities were not replaced daily. This is an inconvenience when you are showering multiple times a day. A number of TV channels didn't work. Only 2 english speaking news channels. No capability to watch apps in the room i.e. Netflix Although most the staff (including the hotel manager) were friendly, we sensed a couple were disingenuous. This is exacerbated when it's a small hotel."

"Meillä oli kaunis rento viikko täällä perheenä 4 ja 2 aikuisia lapsia. Olimme aikeissa käyttää sohvavuode lounge, mutta he olivat laittaa lisävuode yksi huone meille. Se oli hieman kiihkeä, mutta he käyttivät vain makuuhuonetta. Löysimme henkilöstön olevan erittäin tervetullut ja hyödyllinen. Meillä oli ongelma meidän villa-allas koska se ei suodatettu, mutta ne olivat nopeasti ratkaista ongelma. aamiainen oli mukava bonus ja meitä riippuvainen kreikkalainen jogurtti ja hunaja! Vierailu oli huolto ja uima-allas huolto joka toinen päivä tuoreilla pyyhkeillä. Vietimme Villa Nicholas, joka oli erittäin tiukka vuori, joten ei sopiva iäkkäille/haavoittuville. Valitsimme ei vuokrata autoa, mutta se oli vain 8 € Kolymvari, jossa oli mukava valikoima baareja ja ravintoloita meren rannalla. Söimme hotellissa ja myös 2 muuta paikallista ravintoloita Spiliassa. Vierailimme myös Chania vanha kaupunki yhtenä yönä, joka oli hyvin elävä ja vei venematkan Balisin rannalle Kissamos. Reception staff auttoi varaamaan taksit. Ainoa syy, miksi jätin tähti oli uima-allas alueella Villa oli joitakin ruohoa lattialla, joka johti villa näyttää hieman epäpuhtaalta. Villa vieressä ovea katselee uima-allas alueen niin ei ollut kovin yksityistä, mutta olimme onnekkaita, koska siellä ei ollut kukaan ole siellä muutaman ensimmäisen päivän loma. Kreeta oli kaunis ja me palaisimme"
