"We booked a 5-night stay but left after one night due to the lack of air conditioning and mosquito nets/screens in the bedroom. We had to sleep with the windows closed and the bedroom door open to get cool air from the unit installed in the kitchen. The hotel is rated 2 stars, and the manager deemed one air conditioning unit sufficient for a two-room apartment. We still had to pay for two nights due to the contract cancellation terms. In August, a partially air-conditioned apartment is quite inconvenient, and leaving immediately does not constitute a violation of the contract from the customer's end. This reflects poor service delivery from the hotel owner. I would not recommend this hotel to those who cannot tolerate the heat."

"When we first arrived, in the middle of the night, I have to say I was a little disappointed. The room was small with not much storage space and it was in the basement. However, the next day, we quickly realised that we actually seemed to have one of the best rooms. Yes it was small but we asked for extra hangers (we started off with 2 between us!) and moved the wardrobe over so we could open the door without hitting the bedside table and put our cases in the space. We had a little terrace which got the sun all morning while other rooms had a table and chairs by the pool or a balcony overlooking an inner courtyard. The staff were really helpful and immediately provided a new TV when ours wouldn't switch on and a new hob. All rooms have shutters over the sliding doors (which was good as the lock didn't work on our back doors) and there was excellent wifi in the rooms which we don't usually get. The fridge was a bit buzzy at night but earplugs sorted that out. The hotel is really convenient for the beaches, buses to Chania and local restaurants. The rooms are cleaned every day by lovely cleaners and we had frequent towel changes. There was very little noise from other rooms so it was lovely and quiet. All in all, a basic small room but clean, bright and quiet in a good location."

"This is the most difficult rating I’ve ever done. The outside of the hotel and the grounds and the pool were pristine and modern. It looks like it would be a really fun place to hang out in the summer. But our room #2 was straight from a 1950’s New York tenement. There were twin beds that were literally sleeping on springs. No mattress, no mattress pad , just springs. This was a new experience and one I don’t want to repeat. The owners were very nice. And I can only hope they intend to bring the room quality up to the same quality as the exterior. There was no hand or bath soap but when we asked for it, they were happy to oblige. So I can only assume the maid just forgot. Pretty much everything in the room was old and run down. When we pulled down the bedspread, it was stained. The interior was the complete opposite of the exterior. I don’t use the coffee in the rooms but I’ve noticed it’s always there except at this hotel. I’m trying hard to think of good things about the room. There was a hair dryer and I’m assuming it worked though I didn’t try as I really didn’t want to touch anything I didn’t have to. There was a tiny safe but it wouldn’t fit computers. There were plenty of places to set your luggage. The view from the balcony was fantastic. There is no screen door so you can’t keep the door open at night so you need to run the A/C all night to stay cool. We’re normally awake until midnight but we went to sleep at 9 hoping to forget about our surroundings as soon as possible. The room might have been clean but it was so worn that I really couldn’t tell. Sleeping was quiet until the rooster started crowing about an hour before dawn."

"The hotel is in front of the beach so close that at night you can hear the sound of the waves. It has a private beach with the possibility of renting umbrellas and deck chairs. Clean, with all the comforts. Each room has a private terrace overlooking the sea. The sea in front is not the best but it is fine if you want to spend a day of rest perhaps upon arrival. It does not have breakfast or lunch or dinner but it has everything in the room (kettle, plate, toaster, pots, plates, etc.). To use as a base for exploring the island. Private parking Not very easy to find at the beginning. When you arrive at the restaurant "sonio" look up and you will see the sign."

"Ihana moderni hotelli, jossa on siisti ja kutsuva allasalue. Henkilökunta oli erittäin avuliasta ja ruoka on tavallista buffet-tyylistä, ihan miellyttävää. Hotelli on lähellä upeita rantoja, Kalamakin ranta on aivan upea, noin 15 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä!! Ainoa hotellin haittapuoli oli, että olisi mukavaa soittaa vähän taustamusiikkia, se on hyvin hiljainen ja melkein tuntui kuin en voisi nauraa, koska häiritsisin kirjoja lukevia ihmisiä. Jos kuitenkin haluat superrauhallisen ja hiljaisen hotellin, tämä hotelli on sinua varten."
