Welcome to our completely remodeled Gone Fish Inn cabin located on the southwest shore of beautiful Lost Lake. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin accommodates up to 6 guests. You'll love the warm, cozy feel of this cabin as you enter with the beautiful pine paneled ceilings, doors & trim, rustic hickory cabinets and the Northwoods decor throughout. In the kitchen, you'll not only appreciate the built-in appliances which include a dishwasher and microwave, but you'll also find plenty of dishes, pots & pans, and other items such as a crock pot, Pizzazz, electric frying pan, blender, hand mixer and more!The cabin has central A/C for those hot, humid days and forced air heating for days that are colder. The cabin is equipped with a backup generator so no need to worry about power outages during your stay. Enjoy the 42" flat screen wall-mounted TV with YouTube TV, Netflix Prime, and Angel TV services, and the FREE Spectrum Premier Wi-Fi (up to 500 mbps) provided for our guests. The attached deck is a great place to lounge outside and enjoy the beautiful nature and animals of the Northwoods. There's a charcoal grill and picnic table for outdoor cooking/dining, and you'll have your own fire pit with 4 wooden benches...FREE firewood provided. Gone Fish Inn has a private dock with a bench, ladder, and steps. The swimming area out front of the cabin is sandy and great for swimming. Two kayaks and an aluminum row boat are provided with this rental property. The boat is licensed so you're able to bring/rent a motor and attach it, if you like. Also, there is a paddleboat for your use (shared with our guests at our Otter Place cabin next door). Possible pontoon boat available to rent during your stay. Inquire if available.Gone Fish is located on both the UTV/ATV trail and the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trail. Our winter guests can directly access the lake at our property next door when heading out snowmobiling or ice fishing. The Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trail crosses over Lost Lake so you're able to connect to it nearby on the lake or right at the end of our private road. You can also sled into town or head north to connect to hundreds of miles of groomed trails throughout the Northwoods.Guests who enjoy fishing will appreciate the remodeled fish cleaning house next door with it's 10' stainless steel sink and running water. It's available to our guests all year round...whether fishing in the summer or ice fishing during the winter season. Have a large group wanting to rent? In addition to Gone Fish Inn, we own the lake house next door…Whitetail Ridge (newly constructed in 2018) and Otter Place (completely remodeled 2026).**Dogs are considered for an additional fee of $150 per dog (maximum of two dogs...a separate invoice will be sent for the second dog fee). Our cabin is located right smack in the middle of the true north woods experience. Vilas county is home to one of the largest collections of freshwater lakes in the world, with more than 1,300 beautiful lakes and 73 rivers and streams. The Eagle River chain is the largest freshwater chain of lakes in the world and boasts over 11,000 acres. It’s primarily known for its Muskies but also offers an exceptional fishery focusing on walleye and panfish. Fishing not your thing? No problem. The chain is fully recreational. Jet ski rentals and wake board boats are available to rent within a 1/2 mile of the cabin. Plenty of places to eat & catch a drink right off the water and even on the water (may come across a floating margarita bar). A few popular sand bars on the chain can become quite festive on holiday weekends.The cabin itself is sprawled out giving everyone plenty of space and it’s not cramped like most of the cabins in the area. The entire property is 1 acre and its completely fenced in for dogs. Great WIFI signal for the area. Large game room is where most people like to congregate for some competitive ping pong, darts, bags, board games or some classic arcade games (over 400). Have bags, floatable’s, water trampoline, axe throwing, spike ball, lawn darts and 4 cross for outdoor entertainment. Two large fire pits in the back yard, one lakeside and one closer to the back patio. Picnic table and giant spool by lakeside fire pit. Two grills available for outdoor cooks. Neither is gas. I have a large Weber charcoal and a large green egg that I use primarily for smoking. It’s the best way to cook on vacation. Put some ribs on the grill, go out and enjoy your day on the water and come back home to a tasty dinner. Property has two kayaks that come with the rental. Fishing boat and pontoon boat also available for rent. The town of eagle river itself has a population of 1,628 and has that small town charm with a vibrant downtown. Because of the many lakes in the area, the city is a popular vacation and retirement destination. The area contains many condominiums, seasonal vacation homes, and hunting cabins. Fishing, water sports, biking, hiking, antiquing, golfing, snowmobiling and ATV’ing are a just a few of the many activities the area offers. The main house is about 30 yards from the water. The lakeside duplex is not operational atm but plans on remodeling it are in the works. There will be no work being done during your stay but we do plan on renting this out for multi family/large family weekly rentals during the summer, hopefully by summer 2025. The duplex would add an additional 950 sq ft of living quarters, with each side consisting of a full kitchen, bathroom, large bedroom and lakeside views from the living room through the large bay windows. You can’t get any closer to the water besides living in a house boat. Big Saint Germain Lake is one of the premier fishing lakes in northern Wisconsin.
