Our home is a beautiful Bungalow Craftsman style. It was extensively remodeled in 1999. It has 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, a Screen Porch (with hurricane shutters) & 3 Fireplaces. The master bedroom (king sized bed) and another room (queen sized bed) are on the top floor, and the other three bedrooms are downstairs (two rooms with twin beds and one with a king). There is a family room downstairs with a television and games. Adjoining there is a foosball table and a workout room. The living room is upstairs with cedar beams throughout and into the kitchen area. The kitchen and eating area is maple hardwood, and the kitchen cabinets are cherry.Sleeps 10 comfortably, with additional room in the porch (could sleep 2 on the futon in summertime) No A/C, but fans in every room.Total square footage is 4,754 S.F.There is a large flat back yard for games and other activities, right on the lakefront. The famous Birkebeiner ski trails and CAMBA mountain bike trails are only a couple of miles away from the cabin and offer world class terrain that is meticulously mapped and maintained. There is indoor storage for bikes, canoes and other sports equipment with both a garage and a barn on the property.Birkebeiner XC Ski TrailsThe 100+ kilometer Birkie trail system attracts skiers, runners, bikers, trekkers, and hikers, from beginners to elite athletes. There is typically xc skiing from December into March. Skiing on the Birkie trails requires a pass from December through March, use of the trail April through November does not require a pass.CAMBA Mountain Bike Trails and Winter Fat Bike TrailsThe CAMBA off-road mountain bike trail system consists of over 300 miles of marked and mapped trails. The CAMBA system has become recognized as the Singletrack Capital of the Midwest, with the most extensive system of interconnected singletrack east of the Mississippi. In addition, there are over 50 miles of CAMBA mountain bike trails groomed for winter fat biking.Silverthorn Lake & ParkEasily walk or paddle to Silverthorn Lake Park located a third of a mile from the cabin and enjoy Silverthorn Lake’s sandy beach and clean, clear water. The property is close to Hayward, Wisconsin (about a 20 minute drive) and just south of the Chippewa Flowage (where you can explore 10's of thousands of acres of lake!). Whether you visit this crystal clear lake in the summer for great fishing (abundance of pan fish, large mouth bass and northern pike), recreation (tubing, skiing, knee boarding, etc.), trail riding with your ATV/UTV, or you're just looking for a getaway, this is your place! In the winter, some of our favorite activities include ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. This cabin is located right next to Trail #33. Blueberry Lake is approximately 300 acres and features a public boat launch right down the road, as well as a sand bar for a day of fun in the sun. This retreat comes with a private boat dock, stunning lake views, and an outdoor dining area with a charcoal and gas grill for evening barbecues. The lot is wonderfully flat with access to your own private, sandy swim area. After a day on the water or taking in the local sites, relax back at home in the gorgeous sunroom or toast some marshmallows around the fire pit.
