Three different size cabins: The 'Wolf Den' at Wilderness Spirit Cabins, is a one room cabin with full bathroom, queen bed, mini kitchen, outside deck to enjoy the spectacular view. It's perfect for a couple that wants a romantic and private hideaway. Just imagine only the two of you having a cup of coffee out on the deck enjoying the sunrises and sunsets from behind the mountains on both sides of the cabin. The view is breathtaking. It even has an electric fireplace for a romantic ambiance in the evening. There is a sofabed in the cabin for extra guests if needed. The cabin comes supplied with all linens, towels, and paper products. For cooking, the cabin is supplied with dishes, cups, silverware and cooking utensils, pots and pans. The mini kitchen consists of a large refrigerator, microwave, airfryer, toaster oven, two burner hot plate and coffee maker with coffee and filters supplied. Free Wi-Fi and DirectTV satellite is included. The vacation cabin is very close to Hamilton where there is shopping, restaurants, churches, gas stations, and other activities to chose from. Bitterroot River is a mere 3 miles away with fishing access and there is the Calf Creek Wildlife Management area only a couple miles down the road with hunting access. Each cabin has it's own outside grill and firepit to enjoy those outside activities. Each cabin is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition reproductions of co-owner/professional artist, Tracy Rose Moyers. Pets are considered but must be approved by management first. The cabins are located in a rural area but within minutes of Hamilton and Corvallis, which have numerous shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and activities abound. The neighborhood is rural country with a cattle ranch in front and our neighbors have chickens, a rooster, sheep and cattle. The property consists of our private log home and two other vacation cabins on acres. It is located on a dead end dirt road with only five other private residences on the lane. Only 20 minutes from the cabins is the beautiful, refreshing Lake Como which has a sandy beach and swimming area. Bring your boat and you can launch your boat and go water-skiing, jet ski, or just cruise.There are numerous National Forest hiking trails located within minutes of the cabins. The area is one of the best fly-fishing areas around and has numerous fishing access within minutes of the cabins. Horseback riding, hunting, rafting, kayaking, tubing are all available in the area. For winter visitors, the Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski resort is only about 45 minutes away and has skiing and snowboarding. Cross country skiing is also a big recreation in this area. In 50 minutes, you can be in Missoula where the University of Montana and the airport is located. Missoula has a large collection of shops and galleries and restaurants. In two hours north, you can visit Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Drive a little farther and visit the little town of Bigfork with it's numerous galleries and shops. This beautiful log cabin is set back into the trees, about 200 feet from West Fork Road, and is part of the Calaway Lodge. The Calaway Lodge also includes the owner's private residence. While the vacation cabin and the owner's residence are side by side, they are two separate entities. Your privacy is guaranteed during your stay.On the first floor, the vacation home has one bedroom, a bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and living room. There are two more bedrooms and a game room/loft on the second floor. Drive down a dirt road, back into the mountains, until you arrive at Gash Creek Camp! Immerse yourself in the magic of Montana, while still being comfortable in our luxury tents! Wake up with the sun streaming through the windows and birds singing! Make yourself a cup of coffee with the french press and enjoy it on the deck before taking off into the mountains for the day!Our family is building our camp slowly over time. We currently have 2 tents - The first featuring a queen bed, furnished with curated vintage items we have collected over the years. The second is a bunk tent sleeping 4 and reminiscent of camp with it's old school double bunks. Both tents feature a tiny woodstove to take the chill off in the spring and fall. It's a short walk up the path to the newly remodeled bathhouse. There is a shower, toilet, washer and dryer in the bathroom section of the bathhouse. The kitchen section features a custom camp kitchen with a 2 burner stove top, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster and open shelves. Everything you need to cook meals while camping!There is a large outdoor eating area with a picnic table, gas grill and a beautiful gas fire pit with lounge chairs, perfect for a glass of wine after the sun goes down. We are available by text and have someone nearby who can stop by if there is an emergency. While we do have neighbors around us, to access our property you must go through a locked gate. We have 9 acres of land and the mountain behind us is state forest land that anybody can explore!Just a note - our goal for this space is to eliminate distractions - we do not have wifi, but there is some service depending on your carrier. The woodstoves require chopping your own wood and keeping the fire going, but we think that's part of the fun! A quaint and cozy log cabin with a large bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds and a large sitting area with a futon for extra sleeping if needed. Plus a separate livingroom with a sofabed, recliner, TV with DirectTV satellite and a dvd player with a movie library, book library and family games with a game table. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also the small kitchen has a combination small refrigerator, two burner stove and sink and a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, medium size refrigerator and a small convection oven. The cabin has it's own full bathroom with a shower and toilet. It has great outside space with a deck on two sides that face the most marvelous view of the Bitterroot mountains to watch the sunset from. There is a outside grill and fire pit to farther enjoy the Montana wilderness feeling. 'Bear Cave' is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition prints by the co-owner/artist, Tracy Rose Moyers, that are available for purchase. Cabin is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley which is considered in the 'banana belt' which means that the area has milder weather compared to the rest of Montana. The Bitterroot is also considered one of the best fly-fishing areas of the country. This cabin is pet friendly but owners must approve the breed first (due to insurance rules). Cabin is non-smoking but we allow smoking on the outside deck and supply a can with sand for your cigarettes butts. This cabin is NOT handicapped accessible due to it's rustic nature and the different levels. The largest cabin of 'Wilderness Spirit Cabins LLC'. A 759 square foot log cabin with 17 foot ceiling. Has a large loft with a king size bed. On the main floor is a living room with a futon for extra sleeping, small kitchen with full size refrigerator, full bathroom, and bedroom with a queen bed. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, four burner electric stove and oven and sink. A microwave, toaster oven, toaster and coffee maker plus dishes and cooking pans and utensils are included. The bathroom has an antique claw-foot tub which has a shower attachment to take a bath or shower. All linens and towels are included. The deck is on two sides of the cabin with the 360 degree heavenly view. Great for sitting and enjoying the beautiful Bitterroot sunsets behind the mountains while enjoying a cup of coffee. Also outside is a dining table with chairs, rocking chairs to enjoy the view, a charcoal grill, and your own private firepit with benches around it for evening enjoyment. 'Eagle Nest' sits on top of the hill behind the main house and the other two cabins. The cabin is only 12 miles from Hamilton proper, but the peaceful, quiet, remoteness make you feel this is your own private world. The property is surround by thousands of acres of National Forest and can hike for days. There are many animals that pass through/live on the property, giving our guest the opportunity to observe several in their natural habitat. The ability to reconnect with that little bit of wild, frontier spirit that lives in all of us all while enjoying the creature comforts of our modern world.Our magical cabin is located on TOP of a mountain ridge, there are some steep and prolonged grades on a gravel/dirt road. The road is wide enough for two full size pick ups to pass, with wider areas throughout the 4 mile trip. The road is not suburban nor a state maintained but marked with signs. As my nephews, from the east coast, are so fond of saying "Montana is not a nanny state". They spent many of their adolescent summers hiking, exploring, and fishing from the cabin as a base "camp". Located in a quiet neighborhood, you can relax and enjoy watching the deer that come through to graze or rest. We also have 2 goats and chickens on the property. They can be a bit loud at times, in the morning while they lay their eggs, but you can make breakfast with fresh eggs, if you'd like! There are also several house cats that make this their home too. They may come up to say hello, but please don't let them in!
