Plenty of room around the property for the kids and a fire pit to enjoy at night. There is also access to a community pool in Dutch Flat 5 minutes away. Since there is no door, we do not count it as a 5th BR, but the two sleeping areas are separated by a full bathroom, which they share. There is a large office space over the 2-car garage, a small sun room and a small South-facing deck, and an extensive back deck/patio with several seating pods and 2 large barbecue grills which provides terrific outdoor living in summer. The deck/patio backs up to open forest, allowing for significant hiking options right from the back yard. This clean comfortable off the grid family cabin in the woods is the perfect Tahoe National Forest escape (on the west side of Tahoe National Forest about 1.5 hours away from Truckee and 1.75 hours from Lake Tahoe). This cabin does not have electric service so it runs off a propane fired generator. "Our Carnelian Bay cabin is a treasured family spot. Its central location between Tahoe City and King's Beach provides easy access to all of the North Shore ski resorts and beaches and is steps away from the paved trail system. The cabin sleeps 8 people in 3 bedrooms (one king, one queen and two sets of bunks) and is classic Tahoe, but also fully remodeled with a granite kitchen and slate and tile bathrooms. The cabin has a central, hanging fireplace in the large main room to keep everyone cozy as well as a game table and dartboard. The cabin is also fully stocked with board games, snowshoes, sleds, beach chairs/towels, etc. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with a large corner lot, plenty of room to build snowmen and sled runs. When inside, enjoy a Smart TV and WiFi. The large back deck has seating and a Weber grill for use.
