Welcome to our beautiful and peaceful Rocky Mountain retreat nestled in the woods with breath taking views, and aspens all around the property giving you that secluded feel you've been waiting for. The inside is newly remodeled giving you that modern, but yet rustic feel. AC in the summer, and direct heat in the winter will sure add to your comfort level.The Space:The cabin has 2 bedrooms, one on the main level and an upstairs loft bedroom. Both bedrooms have a king size bed for your comfort. The front deck has a great seating area with a propane grill. There is an additional patio amongst the trees with the hot tub and fire pit - so cozy!Guest accessWith the exception of the garage, you will have access to the entire cabin and 2 acre property!The Area:-19 miles to Fairplay for groceries and a great selection of restaurants.-40 miles to Breckenridge for world class skiing. Skip all the I-70 traffic! -18 miles to Kenosha Pass - it is one of the best places to view the gorgeous changing aspen leaves in the fall!-13 miles to Tarryall Reservoir for fishing and hiking. -There are also some activities offered at local ranches such as horseback riding and ATV tours.Amenities:-Hot Tub - enjoy your evenings relaxing in the hot tub under the stars (Guests use the hot tub at their own risk. Please shower before entering the hot tub in order to prevent soiling the water. The hot tub gets serviced professionally at least on a weekly basis.)- Outdoor fire pit - enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. Daytime temps hover around 70-75F° in summer, dropping to 42-50°F at night which will cool things off. We do have portable fans (Dyson on main floor and Lesko in each bedroom). These are also heaters and n addition to the baseboard & wall heaters.Staircase: Embrace the unique charm of our spiral staircase leading to the upper rooms. Larger checked luggage might face challenges on these snug stairs. The staircase is not recommended for small children either.Bugs: We have our home professionally managed to control pests. However, on a rare occasion, we have insects make it past the barriers set by the pest control into the cabin. If you are extremely bothered by bugs, definitely reconsider booking any remote cabin in Colorado (but check out our other rentals!).Mud Season & Winter Driving: Early spring runoff may make our road muddy. Accessible year-round, our cabin recommends AWD/4WD with good tire tread in snowy months (Nov-Apr).Outdoor Fires: Due to wildfires, please refrain from using any ember-producing equipment.Water Source: Enjoy safe drinking water from our 283ft deep well. Conserve water to avoid potential well dryness.
