PARK PLACE is a tranquil spot for those looking for a home away from home while in Yellowstone Park. We offer a cozy space excellently located up from the Yellowstone River. Here you can rest after your daily adventures in our National Park and forests.Our home has the feel of a cabin in the mountains but with the comforts of the city. We are located within walking distance from downtown Gardiner. The sleeping area is located upstairs with a balcony that opens to lovely views of the mountains. You will love the sound of the river and relaxing out there after a day of hiking or exploring the Yellowstone wonders. The main living area is downstairs (which does include the only bathroom in the rental). There is a small couch and space for eating.Those who love fly fishing are coming to the right place. There is easy access to the Yellowstone River just down the road from our house. Park's Fly Shop is also down the street where they can give you ample information on what flies to be using and what other areas to check out. Depending on the time of year, you might encounter visitors outside your front door such as elk, deer or bison. Bald Eagles and ospreys are often present as well. Spare but delightful, the cabin provides all the necessary amenities - starlink WiFi, a full size bed and a futon, a bathroom, and a small kitchenette with stove, fridge and coffee maker.The spaceThis cabin is located in a relatively secluded area just a stone's throw away from the highway. This cabin listing is for the Hemingway cabin further inland from the highway. In this cabin, there is one lofted bedroom (no door) with a full bed in the upstairs, along with a desk. There is also a futon downstairs. There is a bathroom with shower stall and a small kitchen with all the dishes and utensils you need to make meals. There is a second cabin on the property, so please be prepared to have neighbors. The Walden cabin has a kitchen, bathroom and lofted bedroom (with full bed), and is directly in front of this cabin. If you have a small group, you can rent one of the cabins individually for the listed price or for larger groups, book both cabins by messaging us directly (dependent on availability). The cabins conform to the "tiny house" movement, but are fully equipped and very comfortable. We recommend no more than 2 guests for the lower cabin and 3 guests for the upper cabin. MAX occupancy is no more than 6 persons using both cabins. Please report actual guest numbers including children. Additionally, the stairs up to the lofted bedrooms are quite steep, but there are handles. Come and stay awhile, watch the river go by and listen to the sounds of the Yellowstone River's great birds moving over the river from the cabin deck. If you're quiet, you can hear the wind from their wings in flight just feet away from you. You may want to play a little game of horseshoes before grilling up a good dinner on the barbecue grill. Toss in your fishing line from the property's banks or launch a raft and sail away. Or you could just soak up the sights and sounds until your appetite gets you moving to dine at Chico or the many other nearby dining choices. The manicured mature trees and shrubs on the property provide an idyllic park-like setting. There is a fire pit and benches for a relaxing evening fire, long conversations and marshmallow roasting. Wolf Crossing - Wapati Cabin is large1 bedroom cabin in Silver Gate approximately 3000' from the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone and approximately 3 miles from Cooke City on Highway 212 (National Park Road and the Beartooth Highway).This area is as close to Alaska as you can get in the Lower 48 States. Due to the elevation (about 7400), the temperatures are similar, the wildlife viewing is as good or better. There are even permanent glaciers above us high in the Beartooth Mountains. The small town and residents remind me of the show, Northern Exposure. It is remote, wild and rustic here. Also, a host is on site for information or to hire for hiking/fishing/hunting help - or to cater your dinner.People who love wildlife and trout fishing (Clark’s Fork River and the numerous mountain lakes). This is the Park entrance nearest to the Lamar River Valley – and the Soda Butte Creek Valley – and the Beartooth Pass/Absaroka Wilderness area (outside the Park). We have had moose, deer, bear – black and grizzly in our yard. Wolves are often seen in the valley. (No, you don’t always see them. If you did, they would change the name to “Yellowstone Zoo”.) This is one of the premier areas of the world for wildlife viewing.The cabin has a shower, a queen -size bed, a full size refrigerator, a microwave, a full size oven/stove, large kitchen sink and a coffee maker. In addition to Yellowstone National Park, we are surrounded by the Absaroka Wilderness as well as the Gallatin National Forest. Great hunting, fishing, hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, kayaking and wildlife viewing abounds. This cabin makes a quiet and unique base-camp for a world of outdoor activities. We have pine martens and foxes around constantly hunting.
