This place is amazing! So cozy yet spacious enough to sleep 5-6. The property is located just 5 miles from the waterfront village of Curtis and just 1.9 Miles from one of the many boat launches on the South Manistique and Big Manistique lakes. There is a large yard perfect for cornhole or outdoor activities, etc. (Foot Traffic Only). There is Ample parking on the property as well as a single car garage for parking your auto or your toys. Guests should avoid parking in front of the red Pole Barn as we occasionally stop in to get supplies. As you pull into the driveway you'll be taken away with the serenity and peace and quiet. Don't be surprised if you see a few deer. As the cabin comes into sight so does the breathtaking view of Big Manistique Lake. Chances are before entering the cabin you'll be drawn to the lakeside. Pull a chair up to the fire pit and let the roasting of s'mores begin! Pour a glass of wine and relax watching the ducks, geese and loons from the screened in porch. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and watch your favorite show. Sit on the dock and cast a fishing pole. Or enjoy ice fishing. Feel adventurous? Snowmobile and Side x side trails are within 2 miles.Go sight seeing! Just 15 minutes from Benny the Bearded Troll or Seney Wildlife Refuge. Like golf? JP memorial golf and Pizza is within 10 minutes . Their Pizza is unbelievable! They even have disc golf! End of the Road Winery is only 5 minutes away! And for your sweet tooth there's Goodales Sweet Shop! Or Moose De Nord for unbelievable ice cream! Looking to throw back a few or just have a great burger? Talley Ho BBQ in Curtis or The Shipwreck are 5 minutes away.Don't forget to visit the Garland Zoo or Oswald Bear Ranch! Grand Marais is only 40 minutes away! Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island. You definitely won't get bored with so many things to see and visit.If you happen to be visiting for snowmobile season, you can access the trails from the lake or road. Enjoy the large deck and watch the freighters go by on beautiful Lake Huron. Nice 2-bedroom 1-bath cabin with a loft that is accessible by a wood ladder and has three twin beds. Large kitchen and sunroom with a breakfast nook, make this cabin the perfect weekend getaway! Hang out on the deck or sit back and relax for the 45-minute ride aboard the "Kristen D" car ferry as it makes its departure out of Cheboygan, Michigan. Check plaunttransportation.com for the current schedule and rates. You will want to book your tickets plenty in advance and be to the ferry dock at least 20 minutes before hand as they leave right on time. Bring all of your food and necessities with you as there is only one small store located at the Island Diner with a very limited stock of items. The Island Diner is walking distance to the cabin and has good food and ice cream. There is a gas pump located at the diner as well, but I suggest filling up before you leave the mainland. The Island Tavern located aways East of the cabin also has good food.We supply bags for you to bring your trash to the transfer station located near the ferry dock before you leave. If they are closed, you will need to take your trash with you as there is no service provided on the island.If you would like to go to Mackinaw Island for the day you can reach out to Fresh Air Aviation, Inc.: www.freshairaviation.net and take the short airplane ride to get there. There is a very nice airport located on the island and they can be reached at Bois Blanc Island Airport: http://www.airnav.com/airport/6Y1.
