This is a cute cabin studio in the town of Harrison. You can walk into town for great food and entertainment or to enjoy the public beach and free boat dock. In addition to the A-frame cabin and seperate bunkhouse, there are 2 RV parking spaces on a 40x40 level gravel pad, plus a 200 foot long pull-through driveway that can accommodate a few more RV's. Over the years we've generally found that between the cabin and bunkhouse that 10 people are comfortable with the amount of beds and the single bathroom, especially in summer when you'll be lake swimming in clean water most of the time, and we put out an outdoor shower and simple toilet too which helps take pressure off the single cabin bathroom. *** PLEASE NOTE that the main cabin bedroom is an open mezzanine. It feels very private as guests below can't see you, but take this into consideration if staying with others. And note the size of the cabin, it's 642 sqft with loft but feels more spacious thanks to the open floor plan and soaring ceiling. Also note that guests beyond two persons will need to consider the lack of traditional bedrooms. We have two comfortable twin daybed couches, each with pull-out twin trundle beds underneath, both located in the living room. Then there's the detached bunkhouse that contains a full loft bed, full adjustable massage bed below, a full sofa sleeper, and a twin sized futon. Bunkhouse use does have an added $50 cleaning fee in the off-season. If you have a booking beyond 2 people and want to consider it, please let me know at the time of booking *** IMPORTANT LAKE NOTICE - there is a public road (Coeur d'Alene Lake Dr) between the cabin and lake, and a 80' tall lake embankment with trail before the beach. The pathway is a little steep, including stair sections (70 stars total, see pics), so please be in average physical condition and watch the little ones if taking advantage of the lake and docks. It's not too bad, I go down it often with family and friends including young and old, just be aware of it. Also the road that leads to the cabin - CDA Lake Dr - can get busy depending on time of day and season, though there is no through traffic as it dead ends less than a mile from the cabin. No gates or fencing installed yet around the perimeter, so watch the kids and any pets during your stay. PET NOTICE - We are dog friendly, but ALL dogs require pre-approval, and come with rules and are subject to a $50 pet fee per animal if approved. ALL other pets please inquire. No cats, sorry :(For activity lovers, north Idaho is an amazing four season playground for watersports, hiking, biking, atv riding, fishing, gem finding, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Down-time activities include a growing list of excellent restaurants (including Tony's on the Lake just walking distance from the cabin!), bars, music venues, coffee houses, and a wide variety of shops. Information buffs can explore the area's rich history in forestry, mining, and transportation via some great local tours and museums. Our 3-bed, 3-bath, 3-level home sits on a hill 70 feet above the lake, looking out the floor to ceiling windows at Carlin Bay, the lake, and the surrounding hills. The newly renovated wrap-around deck provides spectacular views of the lake and beautiful sunsets.The Loft En Suite has a king bed and jetted tub. Main floor bedroom has full/ twin bunk-bed with additional twin-size pull-out trundle and adjoining full bath. Ground level bedroom has a queen bed and adjoining full bath. There is also a queen-size sofa-sleeper in the living area on the main floor that has a comfy memory foam mattress. And a twin-size day bed nestled in the corner of the main floor living area.The king and queen beds have plush foam-over-spring mattresses. The bunk beds have memory foam mattresses. The fully complemented kitchen has plenty of storage space for food and supplies, and a large granite-topped island providing plenty of room for food preparation and serving. Dining table seats 8 and there is additional seating at the high-top table and the kitchen island. An outdoor gas grill is also provided just outside the kitchen door on the newly renovated deck.On the lake side of the house is a secluded sitting area with a propane fire table where you can enjoy the view and perhaps a glass of wine after a day on the lake or exploring local backroads and trails. We recently installed StarLink satellite internet service (June 2024). Back-up service is provided by a Verizon mobile hot-spot. Verizon signal is excellent. All cell providers' signals are boosted with a We-Boost unit.There is a public beach and boat launch next to the Carlin Bay Marina, providing easy access to the lake within a 3-minute drive (about a 10-minute walk). Free public parking is available directly across the street from the beach park.Overall, it's a great place to get away and relax, or use as a base to do some boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching, and exploring.
