There’s a beautiful mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, wild blueberries and blackberries, bamboo, and lush ferns that take over the property from spring to fall. The autumn foliage is something we look forward to as the trees, scene, and house fade into the rich colors. If you’re a birdwatcher, the garden is an intimate place to watch nature unfold. So far, we’ve seen hummingbirds, varieties of swallows & sparrows, cardinals, and robins.It’s a short drive to the restaurants and shops in Tannersville, Hunter, and Windham. Kaaterskills Falls is a must see for the area, and there’s swimming at Colgate Lake and North-South Lake.We love everything about The Garden House. Very close to Hunter Mountain, our house is the perfect place to retire after a long day of skiing or hiking. On rainy days inside, we have puzzles, games, Roku and best of all, Karaoke Microphones to sing along to your favorite tunes. In the evening, toast marshmallows over the fire pit and gaze up at the stars. We recently installed a handrail and cable spindles to make our stairs more safe for adults and especially kids!
