Delightful old Mill House, comprising of well furnished rooms, we had a beautiful suite with lovely views over a delightful garden, very friendly staff and efficient, wonderful imaginative food and menu changes each day , truly a master chef !! We have booked to return in six months.

Another wonderful stay in this stylish and welcoming hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are all extremely helpful and we see the same faces on each repeat visit - surely a good sign. Both our rooms were immaculate as usual and had everything we could possibly need. The dining experience was a highlight. Beautiful food presented with such attention to detail, it never fails to impress. We were lucky to enjoy gorgeous weather this weekend and the walks in the surrounding countryside were delightful. A review form on departure asks what the hotel can do to improve….I struggle to comment!

I love this hotel. As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed and calm. The staff are a credit to Mill End, without exception they are warm, welcoming and helpful and do seem to actually like being there. The beds and pillows are comfy, the lounge cosy with a log burning stove. The food is absolutely outstanding, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Milk End is not at all pretentious but very classy. This was our 5th visit and we will be definitely be back. Keep up the good work.

Our family and friends took over Mill End in its entirety for my daughter’s wedding. This included the civil ceremony in the morning, a formal lunch followed by a party through the evening. We took all 21 rooms for the night. Without exception Mill End exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel managed the complicated logistics superbly, everything going like clockwork. The wedding breakfast was magnificent - three courses of exceptional quality and presentation. Thank you to all the staff at Mill End for making this special day extra special.

Outstanding service , the staff are very attentive to your needs ,the Wolf suite was amazing .We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking again soon .There are lots of beautiful walks around the area .Would highly recommend.

A recent extremely enjoyable stay at the mill end hotel, in January 2025. The hotel is very well run and seems an happy place for the workers. I was greeted with enthusiasm when I arrived, different bits of the hotel were shown to me, including the boot room! and I was given a useful leaflet on local walks, one of which I took. My bedroom was comfortable and large with an immaculately clean fully tiled bathroom. The lounge downstairs had a wonderful welcoming open fire, thoroughly enjoyable.. breakfast was probably the best that I've had for a long time, individually cooked, a great way to start the day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to come again in the near future.

We’ve just returned from another fabulous stay at the Mill End. The food and staff were, as always, wonderful. Zoe was really understanding when one of our dogs was ill in the night. Thank you so much for your help. We enjoyed the many lovely walks direct from the hotel and walked along the river into Chagford several times. Thank you again for a lovely stay and no doubt we will see you again.

Stayed at Mill End on a two night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast break. Can't speak highly enough of the hotel. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and the food was first class and some of the best hotel food we have experienced. The hotel is superbly situate for walking. Highly recommended and would certainly return.
