Premier Inn Thurrock East Hotel

Comfy beds, clean rooms and nice staff. Rooms had everything we needed and wifi was great. Close to Lakeside and train station.Brewers fare wasnt open so couldnt have the meal there that we had planned. Only other issue was that the hallway and stairwell stunk of **** which was horrible.

The rooms were good and the beds were comfortable, however the customer service was poor, the parking was expensive and the restaurant was closed so nowhere to buy food or have breakfast (which we has booked and paid for) We had booked this because it was so close to the station so we had hoped to eat early before getting onto the train. Unfortunately this didn't happen as the restaurant was closed and there was no nearby alternative. Staff were very u helpful and made us feel like we were being difficult.

Brewers Fayre next door been closed for a week, so directed to Rainham Premiere for the Meal Deal a 9 min drive away (or £18 each way in a taxi) (or Sainsbury's a walk away but no cafe so just a sandwich!!).Sadly the Hotel's level of Customer Service was abysmal - the place has been closed for a week already but their 'We're looking forward to seeing you' E Mails never mentioned it, so only found out on Check In. The Manager on site had no empathy at all, and just said she has reported complaints already & couldn't be bothered to send in anymore. However HO Customer services listened but couldn't help transfer us to another Hotel as all booked, however they spoke to the Hotel team as they hadn't been informed and wanted to make a note on the booking website. The Rooms & Parking are all Premiere standard & comfortable, and the food at Table Table at Rainham and use of the Meal Deal was v good.

This hotel's kitchen was not working, and there was no prior heads-up in the reminder emails. There was no manned reception even when I needed to complain about the leaking bathroom and cleaning. couldn't get that for 4 nights. it is secured though.

We arrived late at night after a very long journey to be told the attached restaurant/pub was closed for works for an unknown period of time. No dinner, no breakfast, no bar. No other options in the vicinity. If we had been warned about this in advance we could have planned accordingly. We were not. Rubbish service. The 7 pound/ 24 hour parking charge is also an insult. There are many many premier inns in this area. Might be worth going to one of those instead!

Wasnt clear that I would have to pay £7 a night parking should of been included in price for room. Room was hot and the window had loads of condensation. Next to the window was a huge water stain did not live up the the usual premier inn standard. Resturant was closed so had to drive 10 minutes to get breakfast no discount offered. When we left there was no one at the desk so was unable to complain. Worst stay I've ever had at a Premier inn
