Disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received during my recent stay at Thanda Manzi. Despite my expectations of a comfortable and welcoming experience, I was subjected to unacceptable behavior from the hotel staff at night around 21h40 when I was sleeping. On 06April 2025, I arrived at the hotel and was initially greeted politely during check-in. However, as my stay progressed, I encountered several issues with the staff's attitude and behavior. Specifically, I was treated rudely and unprofessionally, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The situation escalated at 21h40 when I was essentially "chased out" of the hotel by the staff member, who seemed more interested in rushing me out than in providing me with the service I had paid for. At 21h40 i was woken up with my wife and I was told I need to pay more a R1000 extra in order to sleep there because the discounted rate I received on ******* was too low. Something that should have been addressed at check-in or check-out. Despite, I booked via ******* where I get preferential rates as a frequent traveler member. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. So I ultimately was forced to leave the hotel same night. And hence means I only paid R2732.20 to spend few hours there. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and respect from the hotel staff. Unfortunately, my experience at Thanda Manzi fell far short of my expectations.
