The Ashwood Inn

The room was a neat layout for family . Loft upstairs with 2 beds, double bed downstairs with the tv … mini fridge and microwave . Went to use the bathtub and the water came out rusty . Took a bit for it to clear . ( kids were freaked out ) Not enough towels in room for all of us - they did get us more. What really disappointed us was the fact there was a large planned power outage by hydro1 scheduled for the next morning ( which we can no clue about ) until they texted us at 10pm to inform us - we would not have booked if we had been informed . They knew for weeks before as it affected a large area of homes and businesses . It wasn’t scheduled to come back on until 1:30pm the next day . Because of this - we had no lights , no air conditioning throughout the night , no way to charge our phones , no alarm clocks , no way to make a coffee in the morning , and no light to even have a shower in the am. It was awful. We should have been notified when booking - and certainly before 10pm the night of . Parts were run down - ant traps in bathroom ….not impressed - shady business . Would not recommend or return .

The room was clean & quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Close to Bayfield shops and restaurants. Convenient location to both Bayfield and Goderich.

Great place to stay with Family Excellent place to staybwith family. Near by nice beaches and great lake huron. Great hotel supper clean with nice pool and sauna. Firepots and nice trail for a walk. Has kids playground. Owner realy making this place be a great place to stay.

Mixed review The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable. The stay itself was weird, with the entire customer experience being via text message. We did not see a single person who worked at the inn the time we were there, check in and check out was all via text, no one was at the front desk when we arrived. At night we were the only car in the parking lot, no staff or other guests appeared to be onsite.

Not very clean Room not very clean. No real soap or shampoo conditioner. Over all location was very good, atmosphere outside very nice. I feel over priced for what we revieved. Thank you
