This was the perfect hotel for us in Cat Ba town. We had stayed in another place across from the harbor (and giant construction project) 1 night and moved to here, staying 3 nights. So what made the difference? 1. The host, Nam. He was so helpful and kind when we explained what we were looking for and why we moved. He was sensitive to our price concerns (value) and helped us book the following: 1 day boat tour, sleeper bus to Sapa, motorbike. He negotiated the price and service for us with a fairness that was unexpected. 2. Location: it is on the smaller tidal lake and just off of downtown, and craziness. Close, but quiet and great location. 3. Room offered lake view and was well appointed with nice mattress, hot shower, clean and well decorated. Mirrored windows prevented the heat from the sun and allowed us to leave the blinds open. Nam speaks great English as he lived in San Diego, CA USA for 27 years and he understands the expectations of travelers. He communicates well with changes to schedules and responds promptly to WhatsApp messages. Although he does not own the hotel he treats it like his own. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here.

Although I booked a room with a mountain view, when we arrived at the hotel and the staff saw that we were a couple, he upgraded us to a room with a lake view without any extra charge, although we knew that the price of a room with a lake view was higher than a room with a mountain view, the staff here were very attentive, always making sure we had what we needed, and at the same time giving us the feeling of being in a 5-star hotel, the receptionist here always explained in detail about their services, and also honestly informed us that the bed was a bit hard and mentioned that if we needed it, he would get us an extra blanket to make it more comfortable, it was great to come here and feel cared for and attentive, we were sorry that we couldn't stay here longer because of our pre-booked schedule, but we will definitely come back and experience all the services that this place offers, and especially the services that this place introduces always guarantee the best price for their guests .

We felt we made the right choice when booking a room at this hotel, because in the center of the nearby hotels there was no longer a sea view like before, because opposite was a pig construction project of some large corporation, in this hotel there was a very quiet atmosphere and there was a lake and a park opposite the hotel, the room was very beautifully decorated, always cleaned every day, the bed was a bit hard but we felt very comfortable, the breakfast here also had many options, especially the staff were always enthusiastic in helping us book trips to the bay, book buses for us and also helped us find hotels with the best prices for our next destination.

The property itself met all of our family’s needs for 2 nights in Cat Ba. Conveniently located with included breakfast and coffee. We were generously upgraded to all 3 ocean view rooms for our family of 6. What was absolutely phenomenal was the concierge, Nam, who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our family had the best time in Cat Ba. Not only was he highly communicative prior to our check in but was instrumentally helpful in helping us book our day cruise excursion AND helped us book our accommodations in Ho Chi Minh after our flakey host cancelled last minute. Nam assisted us after we checked out of his hotel and on our way to HCM in which he had no obligation to do so.

Quelle superbe expérience ! Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel 3 nuits et nous sommes restés une nuit de plus. Les chambres sont fonctionnelles, bien équipée pour le prix très bas. Le débit d’eau est particulier au dernier étage mais nous avions été prévenu. Ce que nous retenons surtout de cette expérience c’est notre magnifique rencontre avec Nam, à la fois réceptionniste, concierge, bagagiste, serveur … bref, Nam est une personne dévouée et entièrement disponible pour ses invités. Il nous a permis de faire des excursions à moindre coup, mais nous a également proposé une location de scooter et un retour à Hanoi pour des prix vraiment corrects. La transparence et la bienveillance de l’hôte nous ont vraiment permis de passer un super séjour. Après plus d’un an à voyager à travers le monde, je pense que je n’ai jamais vu un aussi bon service, hôtel luxueux compris. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et je ne peux que vous recommander l’établissement 😍
