Tierra Chiloe

My wife and I stayed at Tierra Chiloe for three nights, and we wished we could have stayed much longer. We had a great feeling about the lodge as soon as we were picked up from the airport. The driver was courteous and friendly, and as soon as we arrived, Mauricio was the epitome of helpfulness when showing us all the facilities. The staff even kept the restaurant open for us to have lunch, even though the restaurant was officially closed. The lodge is located in a fantastic setting with superb views. The lodge is also extremely comfortable, furnished to very high standards, with a great attention to detail. The food and drinks were of high quality, and all the staff and guides extremely helpful and friendly. On our last morning, we had an early departure at 08.00, but the staff prepared a meal from the kitchen for us at 07.30, even though officially the restaurant was not open for breakfast until 8.00. The lodge also gave us a packed lunch for our onward travels. We shall definitely stay here again when we next travel to Chile.

Es de esos lugares en que todo es perfecto. Desde la ubicación del hotel, pasando por su arquitectura, decoración, habitaciones, servicio, paseos (mención especial para nuestro guía Iván y el conductor Martín) , gastronomía… imposible no destacar todo lo que rodea a Tierra Chiloe

What a privilege to come to this extraordinary haven. Rolling green pastures down to a fascinating tidal bay filled with mussel ropes and drawing your eye to the distant snow capped volcanoes. This is a place to come and slow down, learn about the local culture and marvel at the birdlife. Enjoy the incredible food, wine and cocktails and the warm, kind natured staff. Lots of excursion options and a beautiful wooden boat from which to search for dolphins, penguins and seals around the archipelago. Fairytale wooden houses and a maritime history make this place unlike anywhere I have ever visited. I really look forward to returning with my family one day. Special thanks to Mauricio and love to the horses :)

Amazing, amazing, amazing! What a wonderful resort with great food and fantastic activities. And it’s beautiful in so fmany ways - the building, the rooms and the environment. Treat yourself - this place really shows the best of the Chilean coast and sound.

Impresionante!, el diseño el enclave y la atención en Tierra Chiloé no teníamos ni idea en que Hotel estaríamos por nuestro recorrido por el Sur de Chile, fue una gran sorpresa, desde el Director a todos los componentes del Staff que nos atendieron, pasando por los guías etc. Una maravillosa experiencia para la Familia y nuestros amigos Chilenos que tampoco conocían el Hotel.

Interesante es darse cuenta de que poca gente parece conocer este hotel. Quizás porque Chiloé para muchos no es el lugar indicado para una experiencia de lujo, y está más asociado al camping y a las cabañas. Prepárense para cambiar de opinión como yo lo hice. Fueron tres noches con todo incluido. Desde el bastón para el trekking, pasando por la entrada de los parques, el whisky etiqueta negra, la charla sobre aves migratorias, la fiesta del curanto, la meditación en la naturaleza, la sopaipilla en el mercado de Dalcahue… podría seguir y seguir. El hotel es bello, cómodo y está ubicado en un lugar que refleja la magia de Chiloé. Supe, quizás por los brujos de la isla, que el ambiente de trabajo es muy agradable, y debe ser por eso que el personal es tan amable y alegre. La comida es exquisita, y pone acento en utilizar los ingredientes de la zona. El spa tiene inclusive una piscina temperada al aire libre. Las excusiones son muy entretenidas y se adaptan al gusto del pasajero, con guías y choferes muy preparados. Cuentan además con una embarcación para visitar las otras islas. Por desgracia no pudimos conocerla por el mal tiempo imperante en la zona. ¿Será por eso que estamos obligados a volver? Ojalá sea así.
