Red Roof Inn Cartersville-Emerson/LakePoint North

I was at the Red Roof Inn in Cartersville, GA on 10/03/24 and checked out on 10/04, Upon checking in I called and asked how much a room was. Was told it was $80 a night, I got there and booked two rooms and the first room my disabled brother and his wife got in was filthy. There was stuff all over the floor mold on the bathroom shower. The second room I checked into had no lights when you flip on the switch. My sister in law went to the front desk and talk to them about the disgusting room and they said they could change rooms for her but on the second floor. She stated again that was impossible to do since my brother cannot climb stairs he is disable. When I got the truck parked I went there and showed them pictures of the room and he (the person working there) stated no one told him within 10 minutes. I said that was a lie. They never offered to come and clean the room. Then proceeded to tell me. There is nothing else they can do. I also explained all the stuff wrong with my room. I said I want 20% off each room he stated “yes mam” I said I want to see the receipt in the morning when I check out. I went to check out in the morning and they quickly denied the whole conversation from the night before. Of course all they said to me not to post a negative review. I am shocked at that. You couldn’t even watch tv because the tv kept asking me to purchase a local channel. This is unacceptable for a place of business. I continued to tell them of the conversation of the night before and they continued to deny the conversation. I then is given a receipt, when I am on the road, I was looking at the receipt there is no phone number of the place or company name and address. I had to wait until I was back in MN to call them. My brother had 2 seizures not even 3 hours later on the road. I don’t know if it was because of the mold in that room or the smell or what. On the receipt they charged me $85 a room and with the 7% sales tax I should of only been charges $90.75 per room. Instead on the receipt he charged me $102.75 per room and he states that is after the now 15% discount per room. I called them this morning and they stated there were other charges on the room. I don’t know what because I didn’t get anything else. Nothing was stated on the bill that they gave me. (it was hand written) I would not recommend this place to anyone. The people there make stuff up to suit them. I have attached some photos and a copy of the receipt they gave me. Not even the hotel name on it or phone number I had to look at my bank statement to get the name and town it was in.

Booked through Priceline. A lot of black mold in bathroom. Two stale mini donuts was all that was out for breakfast. Pill bugs all over the floor had to watch where you walked or made a mess. Rooms had no carpet just thin tile coming up. Not as advertised.

The outside of the hotel looks ok, but overall it wasn’t the best experience. The guy at the front desk didn’t understand, “How much is the rate?” When we entered the room and turned on the lights, the first thing I saw was a water bug running across the sink and a tiny bug crawling on the bathroom floor. That made me a little worried about the beds, but they were clean and we got a great nights rest and a good shower after driving from Florida. The curtains looked bad, the chair needed to be tossed out and the back of the door needed a coat of paint. When we went to get the minimal breakfast they offer, we noticed mold on the donuts!! This is unacceptable!! The price was a good value and it was very quiet throughout the night. Several restaurants are close by. We would not stay again. Several other hotels are right by this one.

This hotel was the nastiest dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in not to mention the people that run it are horrible! I went to get towels at 5:30 in the evening cause we were at the baseball field all day since 7 am and the manager yelled at me made me feel like I was asking for gold when all I wanted was towels to shower? Later that evening the lady came out and yelled at my son for walking on the parking blocks? This place is ridiculous and wish we could get our money back!! I’m all for cheap hotels but this was by far the worst ran and dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed at!!

Stopped here while traveling home after Thanksgiving weekend. Traveling with our dogs. We had a King size bed. Looked like the bedspread and shower curtain were recently updated. The room was clean. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! Direct tv with all the movie channels free. Total cost was $80. Not bad for just a place to stay the night. We would stop here again.

Grounds are littered with garbage. Rusty stair railings. Grubby walls and door. Holes in the walls, cobwebs, open sink drain. Best thing I can say is the water is hot and the sheets are clean. Water shot directly out of the wall from around the shower head and hit the opposite shower wall. Interesting. Second best thing is they allow dogs and don't charge. However the ***** of grass where you can walk the dog is absolutely covered with dog piles.
