Santuario Getsemani Hostel

I've been @ Santuario much longer than planned due to some health issue. So, I had the time to highly appreciate not only the hostel itself, the great vibe and atmosphere, the fantastic beds setup where you have plenty of space (!) plus an unusual total privacy, like you have a mini room inside a room, but especially the people: staff is great and really cares the guest, while sick I had a family like surveillance, especially Stefy "la chica del bar", Kathy (cleaning & kitchen) and Jose (maintenance) never missed supporting me and asking genuinely interested how I was feeling doing their best to help. In a difficult moment, I was in the right place, thanks them! One only thing disturbing me was, the aircon management: ok it was on only evening and night, quite usual, problem was a person feeling cold was enough to shut down the aircon for everyone... and it was hot then... i love freezing, ok, but a correct balance would be the best, suggesting who's cold to wear a t-shirt should work, and others won't sweat ;-)

Nice hostel in Getsemaní área, arrived after 11 pm and was pleasantly surprised, that reception was opened and I was able to do check in. Breakfast is included, had fruit bowl and toasts with butter/jam, if you want to add eggs you have to pay 10000 COP for it. Coffee/tea is self served and you can order juice for extra payment. Sleeping area is big, air conditioning is working over night, you have to bring your own lock. There is a space to put luggage under the bed, what was a bit dusty and dirty and a small shelf near the bed. Hostel offers some activities, but I wasn't able to check them out. Overall good experience

Fue un lugar muy ameno y cómodo. Personalmente me encantó el cuarto como tienes tu privacidad a pesar de ser compartido eso lo recomiendo mucho y el desayuno estuvo increíble. En buena onda deberían limpiar el jacuzzi estaba medio sucio :) pero luego de eso todo increíble.

Dirty place, found a cockroach in my locker, looks nothing like the picture, no hot water and staff was a bit grumpy, sleeping on the floor would feel the same. Hotel area feels like a sauna inside and you need to bring your own towels because they charge for that too. Only good thing was the breakfast… The tour recommended by the hostel was TERRIBLE, bad food and confusing information, it was supposed to be a safe option but we got charged extra in every tour when we got there. It was very disappointing…if you can find somewhere else to go, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Muy grata experiencia en los dos días de mi visita y con una relación de precio muy favorable, Excelente ubicacion, muy aseado y confortable, y la atención del personal es muy cálida , te sientes como en familia. muy recomendado, volveré cuando me sea pósible.

Pierwsze wrażenie... myślałam, że wprowadzają mnie do jakiegoś magazynu.  Zrobiło się strasznie zimno a moje łózko okazało się jest na górze na którą się wchodzi po stromej drabinie. Klimatyzacja działała ostro do tego wiatrak szalał a drzwi w pokoju gdyby je otworzyć wychodziły by na ulicę więc słychać było każdy przejeżdżający samochód a ponieważ był wieczór to przejeżdżało sporo imprezowych samochodów. Bez korków zero szans na spanie. Jakoś na zdjęciu pokój robił duże lepsze wrażenie,  spotkałam dwie Polki w pokoju, które powiedziały, że w nocy było makabrycznie zimno więc dobrze chyba, że mam mały śpiwór bo do przykrycia jest tylko prześcieradło. Za drugim razem kiedy spałam w tym samym hostelu i miałam łóżko na dole było dużo wygodniej mimo, że pokój miał aż 12 łóżek czego albo nie doczytałam albo nie było jasno napisane ile jest łóżek. Jak już się jest w swoim boksie to jest ok, bo jest oddzielne światło, półeczki 3 i kontakt do ładowania i wchodzi się tam razem z plecakiem. Śniadania skromne ale ok i dwa razy w tygodniu jest lęk ja salsy, na którą nawet raz miałam szansę dołączyć. Ważne jest też to, że bardzo blisko historycznego, kolorowego centrum miasta. Z lotniska jedzie się jakieś 20 minut i można dojechać za 14-20 000 COP jak się dobrze wybierze. Do terminala autobusowego jest jakieś 40 min. Można spokojnie przechować bagażu kawa i herbata są dostępne za darmo cały dzień.
