TLDR: great staff, muddled concept and still working out the kinks. Better options nearby especially at full rates. Is more limited service than I expected. Review: Staying at the Element right now on a regular visit to nearby family. Have been here three nights already and will check out tomorrow. Staff have been uniformly friendly and upbeat - maybe a bit too much, as Management is clearly hovering around all the time. Hopefully people will become more comfortable and confident in their roles with time and won't need to exude Disney-level cheerfulness. Room is great - received a room facing away from the highway, although I suspect the windows are so well insulated the road noise wouldn't be too noticeable on the other wide. As for any element hotel, there's a well planned kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink (filtered water dispenser) and incredibly tiny microwave in the room. Dishes and silverware for two in my King-bed room. nice closet space, although a ding for not having a luggage rack and no obvious piece of furniture to put your suitcase on top of. Odd small square chair/sofa pushed into the corner as an afterthought - not comfortable and not able to place in a location that was useful. Building is brand new - i think the Element has been open six months now (?) and the attached Tribute Collection hotel literally opened a week ago. PSA: there is absolutely no signage to indicate which entrance is for which hotel (!!). The porte-cochere entrance is for the Tribute Collection, and the smaller entrance is for the Element. You're welcome. Lobby is large and spacious with lots of seating for breakfast and lounge areas for laptop working or socializing during the day. Mini-market with a small selection of food, snacks and drinks including wine cocktails and beer, but no travel sundries - I forgot tooth floss and they didn't have any for sale. That's a miss for a hotel not to have the usual travel conveniences and OTC medications. Great gym, although no windows. Also indoor pool but did not use. Negatives: My room has not been serviced the entire time I'm here and no, I have not left the "DND" tag outside. I was able to find a housekeeper in the hallway and get some fresh towels but for a hotel not to provide any cleaning should be clearly discussed at checkin. The lack of way-finding signage mentioned above. The Element does not have a bar or restaurant. My only other experience at an Element the hotel did and it was very well executed. You can go over to the attached Tribute Collection and use their (very nice, upscale) bar/restaurant but you can't sign the bill to your Element room. The brand seems to imply that it is "healthy" and "natural" but (as an example) the breakfast selections were sugary cereals, no cooked oatmeal only packets of "instant" oatmeal with added sugar and chemicals. They were lacking yogurt in the yogurt stand one morning. No sliced fruit, only apples and bananas. Also,
