The issues started with a Premier Inn booking error! We got the impression that our original room had been given to someone else who wasn't happy with their room. We were given the keycards to our room & was told it was for room 5, but the card said room 4. I said don't you mean room 4, as that's what we had been given & she said No someone is already in there! We were given the keys to room 5, only to discover it was the wrong room type a double, when it should have been a quad! There were no quads left, so she found a triple room 105 & my husband went with her to a store cupboard to get a Z bed. All the Z beds were broken, so they returned with a mattress & bedding for my son to sleep on the floor. We took this to the room & the key cards didn't work, I went back to reception & was given another set which didn't work either! The receptionist was going to give me the master key for the room, but couldn't as it was missing, so she had to programme a new key which finally worked (5th key card to be given). I then had to make up the sofa bed & mattress for my sons to sleep on. All this hassle after a 6 hour journey, is not what you want. The decor in the room was very outdated, in need of an upgrade & not the usual high Premier Inn standard. We had no choice but to stay in this room as there was no other option after a long car journey. The very stressed staff member was very helpful & couldn't have done more to fix the issues.

Rooms basic but did the job. Location was perfect as we were driving through and needs somewhere to stay asap. Tracey that was working on reception was absolutely amazing. Although it appeared there was nothing available, as was the case everywhere we'd looked, she sorted us out some rooms somehow. Tracey is a credit to the organisation!

Stay somewhere else. The restaurant is good. Thats it. Dated, dirty. Carpet had sticky rice on it, walls badly chipped and re painted. Bathroom, mould on mastic around the bath,toilet hinges stained yellow from you know what. Not what i expect from a Premier inn.

Tracey who works at reception was very helpful getting me to my room and in general a lovely person to chat to. Recommend staying here The pub next door has a good atmosphere, yet can be quite busy sometimes so worth planning ahead. Tracey helped by getting me booked in to restaurant and also recommended alternative places to eat which were good.

WE HAD TRAVELLED DOWN FROM THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND ON A VERY ROUGH AND WET DAY WITH TRAFFIC HOLDUPS AND WERE TIRED AND MISERABLE SO WERE IN NO MOOD FOR COMPLICATIONS WHEN BOOKING IN AND FOUND THAT TRACEY WAS PROBABLY THE MOST HELPFUL HAPPIEST CHARMING RECEPTIONIST WE'VE MET, GREETED US WITH A BIG SMILE,EXPLAIND EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO KNOW VERY CLEARLY. THE ROOM WAS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT IN DESIGN TO OTHER PREMIER INNS WE'VE USED. HAD A VERY QUIET AND RESTFUL NIGHT SLEEP (OUR ROOM LOOKED OUT OVER A CEMETERY SO NO ONE BOTHERED FROM THERE!!) THE RESTAURANT WAS JOINED TO THE INN SO DIDN'T HAVE TO GO OUT IN THE WIND AND RAIN TO DINE.

My stay at this premier inn was relaxing and a good value for my money. The room was kept clean and the hotel staff were great. Specifically Gracie at the desk helped make my stay easy and was happy to help with any questions I had. Would definitely stay again!

Staff great, building and rooms very tired/dated. Bathroom looks like it's from a Travelodge in dark blue. Mould on ceiling. Ceiling fan doesn't work. VERY basic room, for a fairly high price. No fridge, no iron/ironing board. Only liquid soap. No cushions on bed. One of the worst Premier Inns I've stayed in. In urgent need of complete renovation, especially the dated, very tired looking rooms.

Though the bed was comfy, as I find with all Premier Inns, that is where the similarity stopped. This one is very run down and in need of some TLC; it seemed very 'sad' from the moment I arrived. The receptionist was amazing, welcoming and very helpful with getting my bags up to the first floor as there is no lift and I was on crutches at the time. The breakfast was way below standard, too. I've stayed at many Premier Inns, so I haven't been put off staying at another as they are usually so reliable, but I wouldn't return to this one. One star for the bed, one for the receptionist1

Food was fantastic. Best mixed grill I think I’ve eaten. Room was tired and a bit shabby,as was the bathroom. It was quite dusty. The room was quiet though. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrendously hard and very uncomfortable. I had a very poor nights sleep.
