About 100 m from the hotel`s own public sandy/pebble/rocky beach and approximately 300 m from the sea is located the aparthotel Selectum Family Resort Varadero. The nearest restaurants and bars can be found within 100 m. The old town is around 5 km away. A supermarket is around 200 m away. There is a 24h shuttle between the hotel and the airport 24h a day. Nearby there is a disco and a theatre which offer entertainment in high season. The beach is patrolled by a lifeguard and awarded a blue flag, pets and nudist bathing are allowed. On the beach there is also a clubhouse. Here, there are cushions and sun umbrellas available. Cold drinks are served at the bar on the beach. There is also a promenade here where you can go for a stroll. To reach the beach a shuttle is provided. The air-conditioned, GPS-verified halal hotel has a 24h reception (check-in is possible around the clock), a lobby bar, internet access, 11 lifts, a kiosk, cash machine, a hairdresser, showers and changing rooms, a first aid kit, parking spaces (limited) as well as a TV lounge with satellite TV. In the outdoor area you will find a garden as well as a supervised pool (open all year) with clubhouse, where sun loungers, sun umbrellas and pool towels are available for free. Everything in the hotel is excellent: it is new, the animators are great (especially Jenifer - she really loves the people, she takes care about you every minute and make you feel like at home), evening shows are wonderful, the staff is very polite and kind; it is great that the beach has doctors and securities. The food in the hotel is absolutely delicious, fresh, healthy and organic. The hotel has a great chef from Turkey - Chef Gökhan Gökalp! You will have a lot of things to do in the hotel! Fishing is wonderful near the hotel. The tennis courts in the hotel are great! I recommend this hotel with all my heart! You will really enjoy your holiday here!

En este momento en Cuba somos una familia de Colombia, la presentación del hotel es muy agradable, muy agradecido con el servicio del hotel, regresaremos pronto con el mayor de los agrados , la atención en la playa , Erick muy amable . I was in Cuba, at Selectum Family Resort in mid March for a 7 days all inclusive vacation my family. The hotel itself is great for families. Swimming pools are very nice and well kept. The staff are awesome and friendly. I like to few people in entertainment: Jen, Alexandra etc..they are awesome. I also would like to thank staff in kids club for caring for my son. Very much appreciated. However, the food was terrible for my whole stay. From juice, to fruits, main entrees: bad grade food. Even guava juices and fruits were terrible. The beach is also terrible- Rocky! You can not swim in there. You will need spippas to walk on water until you can swim. Only one small section of the beach's sand is walkable barefoot. I would like to thank kids club for kids programs.

Me ha impresionado el cambio del hotel en menos de 45 días. Estuvimos aquí a principios de marzo y respecto a alimentación y bebidas el cambio ha sido para menos. No hay pan en ningún momento (Solo en el desayuno) las bebidas nada que ver con 1 mes atrás y el buffet igual. Se me perdio el protector solar delante de la camara y no quisieron revisar las cámaras, después me enteré que al otro día en el mismo lugar también se habían perdido unas cosas y tampoco quisieron revisar las cámaras. Nos vamos disgustados. Es lo malo de estos hoteles en cuba, vas hoy y todo bien, después quieres repetir y cuando llegas nada que ver.

i must say i enjoyed my stay. it was a very clean and nice resort. Staff was always looking to help out, i never heard the word no/we can't while i stayed there. Yadir Sanchez (bellhop) this guy was always there when you needed something. Thanks Yadir!! front desk also was very helpful (unfortunately i didnt get there names). Silvia and her partner at the lobby bar were the greatest, these two were so much fun!! The beach does need work however, i love the hanging out on the beach and swimming in the ocean but its not the greatest here. I am sure they have plans to fix it. Two thumbs up.. oh ya, and its like 15 mins from the airport..

El servicio a estado un poco decadente con respecto a comida bebidas la animación le ase falta más actividad por lo demás todo bien la piscina muy buena la atención al cliente bien son muy amables los trabajadores, pienso que si vuelven a estar como al principio todo sería al 100
