The cabin does not have air conditioning, which was not clearly mentioned in the listing. Please be aware that the ceiling fan alone was not sufficient, and the cabin was too hot to sleep in. Upon entering the room, we found a lizard on the bed, and when we raised the issue, we were simply told that it’s a remote area and to “deal with it.” The screen door has large holes, allowing many small insects inside. Closing the glass door behind the screen door is not an option, as it turns the room into an oven. So, you’re left choosing between insect bites or overheating. I have previously stayed at PK’s, Crocodylus, and even camped in their campgrounds, but I have never had to deal with lizards on the bed or excessive insect bites like this.

$155 King Cabin for a cockroach to crawl across my face in the middle of the night and NO WIFI - tried to connect to purchase and was still unsuccessful. Told the staff about the roach and was told “it is the rainforest” - I understand it’s the rainforest but I’m not camping. I’m paying for a cabin. I expect it to be clean. Big money grab. I’d recommend you stay anywhere else.

Beautiful and peaceful location, however the linen was dirty and there were crumbs on the bed. The cushions smell like mildew, the curtains need changing as there were mold on them creating a mildew smell.

I stayed in one of the en suite cabins in the campsite. It was very comfortable and very well laid out with a good sized bathroom. It had air-con and a ceiling fan and fridge. The shower was great and the bed comfy. Great to hear all the noises from the forest. Staff were super friendly and efficient. You can make your own meals at the communal kitchens or there is a great café at the entrance. Parking just outside the cabin. A really great experience.

The staff was very friendly and I even got a better room. Location and the views are lovely between the trees in the middle of the rain forest and next to some hiking opportunities. It was raining the whole day but I could borrow a free umbrella during my stay. Parking was included right next to my bungalow. Camp kitchen looked pretty nice but I didn’t used it. Pool was very clean. Maybe not the best spot for solo travelers but I would still recommend it.

Super friendly crew with perfect travel advice for our needs. Provided us with a tree-lined private site (#14) backing onto rain forest. We were blessed with a range of wildlife right at our site- brilliant! Looking forward to our next stay . Pool, cafe, showers & toilets A1 for cleanliness . A nice chill stay

This hotel was amazing. Such a cool experience nestled in the middle of the rainforest. It was a beautiful property with lots of activities available close by. The room was beautiful and clean and the property was gorgeous. Amazing shared amenities and pool.. and a store right across the street for food/drinks etc. and there is a walking path so you can explore the rainforest right out the front door

I didnt want to write this review but they kept sending me the request to write so here you go.. booked through trip.com for a cabin for one night stay and upon arrival noticed there was a lizard sleeping in the bed and no air conditioning and lot of insects in the room as the security door had bigger vents so the small insects can easily passthrough ..when complained through trip.com was deal with it..we wrote in amenities electric fan..no where it was written no air conditioning and wanted extra for air conditioning cabin and we are in remote location deal with the lizard and insects..I would have opted to camp if I need to deal with lizards and insects..I have stayed and camped in near by properties and cheaper than this place and still had air-conditioning and didnt have to deal with insects and lizards inside the room... the room was too hot to close the glass sliding door..and have to keep only the security door which is made of mesh..closed so either deal with insects or cooked alive inside the room...I shouldn't have to have law degree to book a stupid room...

I booked a King Cabin with ensuite. The room was immaculate, lovely and cool! The setting is absolutely stunning, set in the Daintree Rainforest. It was so beautiful waking up to only bird sounds each morning. It is a quiet and tranquil place, lovely pool and every single staff member I spoke to were an absolute delight. This is the place to stay whilst in Cape Tribulation. I also did the Turtle Tripper Tour with Ocean Safari and this blew my socks off! Brook and Raz delivered such a fun packed day out on Mackay Reef and Sand Cay.
