The Grey Hotel

The Grey Hotel is the perfect boutique hotel when you visit Cape Town South Africa. I cannot say enough about the kindness and hospitality shown to me by the staff. Lungi, Warren and Mrs. Martha were especially helpful. They made my stay as comfortable as my own home in Houston! Shout out to my girl Blessings in the kitchen. Also my girl Divine at the Vegan restaurant next door. It has all the amenities and in a walkable community close to the V and A Waterfront and Bo-Kaap. Also very budget friendly. Will also arrange transport from the airport. Encouraging everyone who mentions going to South Africa to stay at the Grey Hotel! Grey Matters.

The Grey Hotel is the only way to go when in Cape Town. Nestled near Bo-Kaap and the V and A Waterfront, it provided every thing I needed. Loved the staff.Especially Mrs. Martha, Warren and Luigi. Mrs. Blessings made breakfast delightful. Great place! Can’t wait until my return!

Friendly and caring manager! Great location, close to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping mall and transportation. Room was on the small side, the bed was comfortable and very clean! It’s ideal for solo or couples. I would highly recommend it.

Great, quirky little hotel with rooftop pool bar accessed up a spiral staircase. Very helpful with a courtesy room the freshen up on the evening of our departure. One word of warning though, don't been lulled into walking far from the hotel, the surrounding streets and the walk to the quayside are full of lowlifes out to grab jewellery (my wife was mugged and the police weren't interested). Look after yourselves and leave your valuables in the room safe!

Stayed at the Grey hotel in february for 5 nights. The hotel is small and in a lovely area, approximately 10 to 15 minute walk to the V & A . The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a fridge which was a bonus. The rooftop terrace and pool was lovely, it's small but they've made the best use of the space available. The main reason I've given this hotel 5 stars is the staff, they were all so helpful and friendly especially "M" nothing was ever to much trouble, she helped organise so many trips, ubers etc for us and all with a smile. On checking out of the hotel I inadvertently left my husbands wallet in the safe, and because we'd gone through immigration to board a cruise we weren't allowed to leave the ship, after a few frantic phone calls yes you've guessed it, "M" personally drove down to the port to deliver the wallet to the port agent! What a star and we will be eternally grateful for her kindness and dedication. We will definately return when visiting Capetown again a lovely hotel with great staff Thank you again

Fantastic 2 night stay at the Grey at the end of an overall brilliant holiday cruising from Mauritius. Our stay was made special by a warm welcome and attentive receptionist The sky bar served wonderful Tapas and tasty cocktails on our first night and the ambiance was perfect looking out across both Table Mountain and down towards the harbour. The hotel was only a 15 minute safe walk to the V&A waterfront Overall a brilliant stay with attentive hosts and super clean rooms and tasty breakfasts Thankyou for looking after us. We will stay again if ever we return to Cape Town
