Labotessa Luxury Boutique Hotel

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. My husband actually thinks our stay on this property may have been one of the best hotel experiences he has ever had. We will certainly recommend the property to anyone visiting Cape Town. If we visit again we will absolutely book a room here.

The elevator gets you directly into your suite. The suite itself is gorgeous. Large, with a sitting area with a nice view on Lions Head, a high eating table and complimentary mini bar which is restocked every day during your visit. Excellent shower and large comfy bed. Breakfast is only a la carte and it’s not clear what is included in the rate. I should have preferred a continental breakfast served directly at the table or as a buffet and some hot options afterwards. It’s a bit strange they bill an extra coffee, yoghurt,… Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful in planning your day, reserving a restaurant, giving advice. We had a beautiful stay !

Labotessa can be summed up in 3 words. 'A Perfect Stay' Or perhaps - 'Can't be Topped' Wait, maybe it's - 'Fabulous Beyond Belief' A 17th-century building with 2024 and beyond amenities and hospitality. Our 3rd floor suite - accessed by private elevator - was beautifully decorated with outstanding attention to details, from the heated bathroom floor, perfectly stocked mini kitchenette & bar, high thread count sheets, comfortable furniture and so much more. The staff can NOT be beat! Rachelle Hoy is a gem, she responded to every email within 24 hours and arranged for our full day tour to the wine country plus half day tour along the coast, as well as suggesting (and booking) several restaurants. Breakfast and lunch in their small cafe mirrors the 5-star review. Johan, the owner has impeccable taste. He goes to the head of the class in the world of hospitality and if he ever decides to open another boutique hotel - in any country - we will be follow.

Labotessa is truly a luxury boutique hotel. We enjoyed two comfortable nights. The staff and owner take hospitality to the next level. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Great location. Previously we have stayed numerous times at the wharf. This was a nice way to spend time in a different area of Cape Town

This hotel is now on my top 3 best of the world! The rooms were huge, the property was beautiful inside and out and most importantly, the team was welcoming, warm and extremely helpful. Not in the typical V&A waterfront area, but a short Uber ride away and very quiet neighborhood. Loved our stay!

Great friendly staff. Central location; near Parliament. In terms of the amenities they have thought of everything. The Presidential Suite has two floors and three bedrooms Fantastic for a family. More like a beautiful apartment. Daily food in room. Overall a great experience.

Absolutely the best place to stay. Our family of 6 stayed in the Presidential Suite and loved having the gorgeous common area and decks with view of Lion’s Head (and a bit of Table Mountain). The rooms/bathrooms are exquisitely decorated, the beds and bedding so comfortable. Everyone who is a part of the team went above and beyond to help us with everything to do with Capetown. We felt seriously spoiled!

This hotel was perfect in every sense. We just spent a week there, myself, husband, & 6 year old daughter. It was the highlight of our trip. It’s like a home from home. The staff are so welcoming & warm, always smiling & nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are delicious & the rooms are beautiful. We felt like we were leaving friends when we left & it is somewhere that will always hold a special place in my heart. We are very grateful for the privilege of staying here & the special memories we now hold. Thank you to each & every one of you who made our trip so special. The personification of boutique hotel.
