The Manor House at the Queen Victoria Hotel by Newmark

Well located hotel for the Waterfront. We had a wonderful room in the Manor House which is just set aside from the main Queen Victoria hotel. It was enormous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a very short walk into the centre of the Waterfront development. This is a major destination in Cape Town full of bars restaurants and shops. It is not quaint little streets or anything like that bit it is a majorly successful development attracting thousands of visitors each day. The hotel is far enough away to feel you have got away from the crowds but close enough to feel you are only a few minutes walk away. Pick up points for various tours are nearby.

Lovely hotel, best location Excellent location, great views of Table Mountain. Cannot fault. Only negative was an expectation of a tip for the breakfast that was included in the hotel rate !

We had a great 5 nite stay in the Manor House. It is a lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff. The property is close to all the action of the V&A Waterfront. Dining in the hotel was very good and there are lots of local restaurants a short walk away. Our room on the 2nd floor manor house had a beautiful view of the waterfront and Table Mountain.

Fantastic hotel in excellent location to explore all Cape Town has to offer

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights during our trip around south Africa, there were only 4 rooms in the building we were in, they were exceptionally spacious with a fantastic bathroom and views up to Table Mountain. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk around the corner where you have breakfast and there is a wonderful bar area with a balcony looking at the waterfront and the mountain. There was a small outdoor pool with a few loungers and a gym. We did not eat in the restaurant although the food looked good. This was a unusual boutique hotel in a great location minutes from the waterfront and bars/restaurants. The staff couldn't have been nicer, more friendly or courteous. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend of return if we come back to Capetown.

We stayed 5 nights at the Manor House at the Queen Victoria Hotel.. The room is large and very clean, staff is friendly, and the location can not be beat. It is literally across the street from the V&A Waterfront. We ate breakfast at the Queen Victoria Hotel for 4 days and at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel, their sister hotel, on the other. Carol, our server at the QV, is so energetic and remembered our orders and preferences. Nothing I requested was a bother. Service from her was impeccable. There was a security guard outside at nights when we returned to the room from the V&A Waterfront. The waterfront also had security guards presence everywhere. We felt very safe during our stay at the Manor House. If you book City Sightseeing tours or the Hop On Hop Off bus, their main location is about 1.5 blocks away. Very convenient.
