This was a great find - friendly, comfortable, well priced and very well located. Sarah and John were welcoming hosts. My room overlooking the pool was light and airy, and the breakfasts were generous. The guest house is very close to the popular Montebello Centre, and handy for Cape Town's motorway system. The atmosphere is informal; those who want all the amenities of a hotel should probably go elsewhere (and pay more), but I will certainly return.

Very friendly owners, great environment, lush gardens and swimming pool and very safe. Sarah and John made me very welcome and I would struggle to find anywhere as good as this elsewhere. The breakfasts, made by Sarah, were delightful. The location is in the upmarket location of Newlands and is very safe.

We stayed at the Newlands Guest House for two nights before our return to the USA. John and Sarah were excellent hosts, providing useful information and friendly advice for a safe, enjoyable stay. We were warmly welcomed and found the rooms to be well furnished and comfortable. Loved the area for it's central locality and outstanding beauty on the Eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The generous English breakfast which they lovingly prepared was just the cherry on the top for an unforgettable experience. If you go in the cricket season (Summer), John is your man for all things cricket and they are so close to the world famous Newlands cricket ground. Wow, I/m ready to go back LOL.

We stayed 1 night at guest house for a visit to cricket match. We did not stay in room long but found the room comfortable and value for what we paid and would recommend.

Great guest house
Our hosts are fantastic. This is our third stay always feels like coming home. Breakfast is great,pool is delightful during this hot weather.

Maison d'hôte chez l'habitant nichée dans la verdure à l'écart de la ville, accueil très chaleureux de la part de John et Sarah qui sont aux petits soins pour nous satisfaire Tes bons petits déjeune et cerise sur le gâteau une piscine pour se rafraichir en fin de journée Je recommande vivement cet maison d'hôte où notre séjour fut agréable et reposant

Our hosts were very helpful, happy to advise where to go, also to eat. Perfect stop over before flying back home the next day,. Less than 20 min to the airport.
