ViewPoint Hotel

Best view in Maine with the most fun atmosphere and vibe. This place is my favorite because I feel like I’m in a completely different world when I come here. Every room has great space and amenities. Spa, incredible. Very quiet and calming atmosphere. Hands down 10/10.

I’m not sure you could find a more stunning view from a hotel window than the rooms at the Viewpoint. We stayed in a shore room which faces the Nubble Lighthouse just steps away from the water’s edge. The rooms are a brand new addition built into the rock and are luxuriously appointed. The glass shower that lets you look out to the lighthouse is unbelievable. The staff at the Viewpoint was so warm and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the baths at the hotel sitting in the hot tub in a snowstorm and the sauna can’t be beat. I had a massage with Avalon at the spa. One of the best I ever had. My wife loved the facial treatment there too. Will have to return in the summer, but it feels like you have the place to yourself in the off season.

You can’t go wrong with The Viewpoint for a stay in York. Although we only stayed a night- it was filled with amazing spa treatments, exceptional customer service, clean and well appointed rooms and views for days. With a clear view of Nubble Light, we imagined future summer days on the porch taking it all in. (Not to mention we hear the food when the restaurant is open is top notch.) With the cold temps, we enjoyed the same from the seating area and one of the bedrooms. We will be back.

Everything about our stay at the viewpoint was perfect from start to finish. I chose the viewpoint for the location of our marriage proposal and the staff was so helpful and accommodating from start to finish. I informed the front desk staff I was planning on the proposal during our stay and they played along with the surprise to make it such a special day for us. Our room was nothing shot of spectacular, the view, the technology, the comfort of the bed every single aspect was perfect. Outdoors the grounds were immaculate even with it being off season. I would strongly recommend the viewpoint to anyone looking to visit York or have a unique start minutes from downtown Portsmouth. We look forward to visiting again this summer and next year to celebrate our one year anniversary. Thank you again viewpoint staff for making our special day one to remember forever!

The location of this gorgeous hotel overlooking the Atlantic and Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse can't be beat. We planned a quick getaway in the bitter cold month of January and chose the Viewpoint for location and room amenities. Our suite included a bedroom with an incredibly comfortable mattress and pillows. The kitchenette was fully stocked for whatever you might need. The furnishings in the living area boasted a great leather sofa, an 'office' area and a dining table in a bow window offering amazing views of the ocean. The rooms were filled with light but with an easy pull of the shades you could have complete privacy. We did not use the patio outside of our room but noted it was well designed and could imagine cocktails in the evening or breakfast while watching the sunrise. The grounds are lovely---even in the winter! We recommend trying out a few winter days at the Viewpoint where quiet, serene moments are yours to enjoy!
