Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles

This is our "go to" place as we've been there many times. Tammy and Jim make us feel like family. It is a beautifully maintained Inn and the town itself is a modern day "Mayberry". All the restaurants are wonderful and now feel like "Cheers" to us. It feels like a different world. Can't wait to go back in October!

Bay Haven Inn is a WONDERFUL place to spend a few days while exploring Cape Charles! Tammy and Jim are very accommodating, making sure to tailor your stay based on individual needs. Breakfasts and snacks were delicious...recipes were even provided! Honestly can't think of a thing that was missed....thank you and hope to see you all again!

The house is beautiful, and the Alyce room we stayed in was very comfortable. Jim and Tammy were very nice. They made sure we had everything we needed. We woke up to an amazing breakfast each morning. I definitely recommend staying at their Inn. Sandy and Bob

My husband and I recently returned to the Bay Haven Inn for our 2nd visit. Tammy & Jim are outstanding hosts. They’re knowledgeable, super friendly, environmentally conscientious, make great recommendations and provide wonderful, gourmet breakfasts. We love sitting on their front porch enjoying their lovely gardens and meeting and chatting with some of the other guests. And, if you’re lucky, you might be serenaded by the tree frogs and/or a nearby concert.

Are you looking for a way to “Relax, rejuvenate and restore,” get away from the electronic tether, and be at a shore location where you can watch the sunset at the beach without any more of an ambition than that? Try the Blue Haven Inn of Cape Charles, VA, a bed and breakfast (B&B). This was a first-time experience for us in a B&B. Proprietors Jim and Tammy made us feel like family, and were prepared to meet any need we had in the Inn during our stay. They are well integrated into the life of the town, having arrived there about 14 years ago, and they appear to be one of the bedrocks of the community for town improvements and growth – they can tell you all about the area and what is going on. A late morning, sit down breakfast at 9AM every morning is available with the other guests who elect that. It evolves into about a 45 minute to 1 hour recap of everyone’s the last day and options for the next. The special items they make for the breakfast are very tasty, and will not spoil your appetite for lunch at one of the spots around town. Highly recommend this establishment, and we would certainly look forward to returning in the future!

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was extremely comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. Breakfast was terrific. The house was beautifully decorated. Our hosts happily described its fascinating history. Cape Charles is a beautiful town, well worth a visit. We took the opportunity to visit the nearby Barrier Island Center which helped us appreciate the history of the Eastern Shore. We also visited the town of Chincoteague and on a boat tour saw the wild ponies. What an experience. Cannot recommend this Inn more highly!
