Don and I stayed at the Baywood Bed and Breakfast on July 9 and 10th. Our two day stay was wonderful. The house was lovely and we fell in love with Gladys the house keeper. She was a sweetheart. We also loved Mike, his breakfast and his welcoming hospitality. Our room was perfect. We also enjoyed walks on the beach, watching the sun set and visiting the town of Cape Charles.

The Baywood is exactly as advertised. The location is outstanding and is conveniently close to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. We were fortunate to experience a beautiful sunset from the well-positioned Adirondack chairs. The room we had was also facing West and had a balcony. The room was fantastic and well-appointed. The full breakfast was top notch. Our only suggestion is the brush needs to be cleared away from the sign at the trance to the driveway. Would definitely stay again.

Omg. I loved it. Mike and Sharon felt like extended family. Mike made us breakfast every morning. They have a bathroom for everyone. Private beach. Priceless. So many memories made with my niece and nephew. Even with all the rain. Which everyone desperately needs right now. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Quiet, secluded and wonderful are the best ways to describe the Baywood Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful time walking on the secluded beach, the room was spacious, with a great view on the upper deck, and the bed comfortable. Mike is the host and we enjoyed our conversation with him. He and his wife built the place specifically to be a bed and breakfast. Mike knows how to make a breakfast too. Fresh baked muffin, sausage, a healthy egg casserole and fresh fruit. We ate at the Shanty in the evening and loved the shrimp. The next table had seared tuna that looked excellent too. The village of Cape Charles is a nice place to shop and the beach is huge. If you are on the east coast definitely stop in to Cape Charles and stay at the Baywood. P.S. Getting to the Cape from Richmond was painful. I-64 was messed up near Virginia Beach.

We came to meet Mike after making, cancelling, and re-booking our stay. After our original booking, I found out I had a fractured knee, so I thought coming would not be possible. Later, I really wanted to have this to enjoy, and Mike made it comfortable enough for it to happen, accommodating my challenges. He and his wife are gracious hosts, interesting people and the house and grounds and breakfast are, of course, are amazing. We will return when I can walk down to the beach ;).

This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Not only is it beautiful, with some great sunset views over the Chesapeake Bay, but the owners (Mike and Sharon) make you feel like you are a friend, not a guest. I stayed in the Cape Charles room and it was very nice. Bonus: Mike cooks a fantastic breakfast, complete with home-made Baywood muffins. Highly recommend.

Very enjoyable stay at this B&B near Cape Charles. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this B&B located near a state park and a wildlife refuge.

Beautiful views, friendly owner/staff and delicious breakfast! Great weekend getaway!! We were in the woods view room for a last minute stay, but will definitely be back to stay in one of the bay view rooms for viewing the sunset from the balcony!
