Mekong Rustic Can Tho Hideaway

Location bellissima.. ci siamo trovate molto bene. Le camere sono belle e curate. La vista sul fiume è meravigliosa. Il personale è gentile e premuroso. Abbiamo anche fatto un tour privato al floating market ed è stata una esperienza meravigliosa, la nostra guida ( Minh) era premurosa e ci ha spiegato tutto perfettamente, credo sia la migliore guida della zona. È un' esperienza che consiglio a tutti!

Cadre magnifique. Chambres joliment décorées. Piscine sympa. Les plats du restaurant sont bons. Le petit déjeuner également mais servi un peu tard si on veut aller sillonner. Les cocktails sont moyens c est dommage car le cadre se prête à la détente et au farniente.

We only came for a short time with very little planned, but this has turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of our trip!! Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and the homestay itself is super lovely. The bungalow we stayed in was comfortable and clean, and the bed was very comfy! We were also lucky enough to have breakfasts and dinners here, and all the food we had was so fresh and delicious! Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking to get away from the busy cities for a few days.

Don’t make the mistake we did. Two days before checking in we were told this accomodation was closed and offered to move to their “lodge” up the road. I assume they have recently taken this over as it seems to be previously listed under a different name (rach sao eco garden). On arrival at the lodge it was immediately apparent they were not set up for guests - and we were the only two they had in the entire place. Issues so far have included: - the pool was lovely although it seems all of the staff had their children with them and they were swimming. This isn’t an issue for us at all (and absolutely no blame on the staff!) but it did add to the feeling we were a major inconvenience and not at all planned for - dinner was absolutely inedible for 1 of our dishes which came out 20 mins after the first one. The chicken was basically solid. It was like chewing a tire. We got one drink with dinner and no others. There is a mini fridge in the room but it was brand new and the room wasn’t powered when we arrived so…nothing was cold. We also can’t leave here as it’s so far away and we don’t have transport. Therefore I’m just going to have no dinner since the first meal for my partner had shrimp (allergy) and the second couldn’t be eaten at all - there are no instructions in the room around power, now to turn it on, how to activate the aircon, toilet paper, the shower etc. We are doing a lot of trial and error - in the process of agreeing to swap we were not told there were absolutely insane stairs to get to the room. I have a physical disability. This was important info that should have been shared. They look beautiful but are a severe hazard - no wifi which is a feature of the original location. - there is no way to contact anyone from the room. No phone or info on where they are to be found. We don’t even know if anyone is on site over night I am very disappointed to know I’ve paid the same price for a very subpar experience. I was so looking forward to the original accomodation but should have gone with my gut and booked a hotel. I do want to emphasise all staff have been extremely friendly and I have no issue with them.

Superbe surprise pour cette hôtel en pleine nature. c'est en barque (avec les valises) que nous allons à notre chambre. 2 grands lits dans une grande chambre, avec une salle de bains "ouverte". Les 2 lits ont une moustiquaire (important), un bouilloire, thé et café dans la chambre. Une climatisation (mais bruyante). Devant la chambre, sur la terrasse une table et 2 chaises. Il y a des travaux actuellement. Rien autour de l’hôtel, donc nous avons réservé le repas (qui est préparé ailleurs) mais qui était très très bon. Le petit déjeuner, qui n'est pas un buffet, est copieux et excellent. La personne qui s'est occupé de nous était adorable, souriante et (merci Google translate) a répondu à nos demandes. idem pour le départ, c'est aussi en barque (mais on peut y aller à pied). On regrette de ne pas y avoir passé plus de temps. On garde l'adresse.

Had a very nice stay here with my family. We did the two day and one night tour. The guide was great and the tour was fun. The rooms were clean and had great air conditioning. The beds were very firm and the walls a paper thin, but the staff was SUPER friendly and the food was amazing. See the floating market before it is gone.
