Had a pleasant stay over 4 nights this week. Room was adequate for 1 person. Staff were always helpful. Beach down the road with all the shops,bars & restaurants. Aldi is on the same road in case u need anything also. Wish I had booked a longer stay

This was our fifth visit to this hotel. There were some changes to the hotel as they no longer serve any hot food. If you don’t have an apartment it means you have to leave the hotel for every meal. They used to do a great breakfast to start the day. Nacho behind the bar is 10/10. He’s a massive credit to this hotel. He’s a great cocktail maker. The hotel is in a good location with a straight walk down hill to the beach. The cleaning service is very hit and miss. To try to get extra towels is difficult. There are no facilities in the room in terms of a kettle or fridge. When you ask for these they try but it’s a massive struggle so won’t be helpful if you have children. The pool area is very small.

This hotel is a place that embraces diversity and welcomes everybody and has a very special community of guests. We had such a fabulous time in summer 2023 that we decided to return for a second time for our Jet2 summer holiday 2024. In fact, we’ve decided to make this our summer destination of choice going forward and will be returning again next year for summer 2025. A huge thank you to Nacho and Melissa behind the bar who really put in every effort to make your days and evenings around the pool comfortable and keep you topped up with refreshments. Although watch out for those “Melissa measures” they’ll have you tipsy in no time. Top tip try a Mai Tai cocktail. The hotel no longer provides hot food, but offer a selection of delicious pastries. We recommend the Mallorca Croissant but hurry because they sell out quickly. If a cooked breakfast is your thing then there are a wide variety of restaurants on the door step. The best British breakfast in our opinion was at Trotters Bar just across the road from the hotel. The one thing that really makes Africamar special is the family run Mallorcan/Scottish welcome you experience from the moment you arrive and the community of visitors who appear to visit year upon year. In fact we spoke to one couple who have been visiting Africamar for 19 years. Top tip, always ask reception if you need anything. You can ask for a fridge, kettle, iron, fan etc and it will magically appear in your room. Can Picafort is a fabulous resort and a very European town with visitors from Germany, Italy, France and Spain. We were also surprised to find this to be a destination of choice for American visitors too. Whilst in Can Picafort be sure to visit, The Royal Indian restaurant and our personal favourite Monaco. Top tip make a reservation during the day to avoid the queue in the evening. This year we took advantage of the local bus network to explore further afield. It was so easy to use with a “tap on, tap off” facility. The bus stop is located just a couple of minutes walk near Aldi where you will find a direct service to Alcudia, Sa Pablo, Inca and Palma. If you need a day off from the sunshine, we recommend you get the 302 bus to Palma which is a 1 hour 20 minutes journey away. You will not be disappointed. Our top tip would be to visit the Cathedral, Royal Palace and Art galleries. A superb city with brilliant shopping, restaurants and Spanish culture. Cane for 10 days with family and friends a group of 9 of us. The hotel was lovely and clean and house keeping came 3 times during our stay.,we had a 2 bedroom apartment,rooms were big and spacious, air con was brilliant and kept the rooms lovely and cold kitchen could do with updating but it didn't affect our stay as we were only planning on using it for the fridge. Pool wasn't big but big enough never overly busy and got beds every day. The bar staff are amazing and friendly and made the stay enjoyable l, great location. Great hotel and definitely would go back and worth the money A*

Un appartement hôtel un peu vieillissant mais propre. Par contre très très bruyant toute la nuit, vous avez l impression de dormir dans la rue directement qui est très passante ( et pourtant nous étions au 4 ème étage). Très bien situé a 150 m de la grande plage et a 10 m de la rue commerçante. Une piscine agréable mais qui donne sur la rue . Personnel sympa et réception ouverte 24/24. Pas de parking.

The staff are extremely nice in the hotel, nothing is too much and they are always there to help. They always remembered our drinks orders so each morning we were greeted with a big 'Hello' and our morning coffee order brought to us at the pool. They make excellent cocktails also. The hotel is located right on a street of shops, restaurants and bars which leads to beach front so a great location. Yes, it's a little outdated and the pool area could do with a bit of TLC but it had everything we needed for good value. We had booked a double room but received an upgrade to an apartment on arrival which was great as it meant we had a kitchen to make breakfast etc. There is an Aldi and several other supermarkets right next to the hotel so handy for groceries. The bus stop is also right outside the hotel. The bus is regular and you can tap your bank card to pay. Airport bus runs from the stop as well. Nice for trips to Alcudia, old town Alcudia is very nice. Plenty of other areas to travel to on the bus as well so an inexpensive way to see the Island. All in all we had a lovely time at this hotel, staff were wonderful and it was good value.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay in Africamar Can Picafort – what an old fashioned, dark dirty and generally all round grubby apartment for 4 people, (if you can class it as an apartment) – it was literally 1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 room with 2 sofa beds, the cleaner swept rubbish under the bed, cockroach and ants living under there! The balcony has not seen a mop in months ! The kitchen, rusty microwave, rusty hob, fridge with no freezer door, everything froze, kettle not working unless finger remained on button. The shower overflowed into the bedroom, had to ask 3 times in one day for fresh towels, bathrooms always short on loo rolls, we had to take them from the toilets in the reception area. Complained to the management, her response was if you don’t like it speak to your travel provider and ask to be moved, no apology or make good any of the issues we were having. The only good thing about Africamar is Melissa what a little gem, always jolly, happy and as helpful as she could be ! My honest advice avoid this grubby hotel !!

Muy buena elección, el hotel perfecto, limpio y muy bien ubicado, con la playa a cinco minutos caminando y una recta llena de bares con mucho ambiente. Lo mejor del hotel, Melissa, muy atenta y cercana, nos hizo la estancia muy divertida, Nacho también muy agradable, nos recomendaron sitio para ver el atardecer. Por ellos da gusto viajar. En cuanto a calidad precio es de los mejores hoteles.

Having stayed at this hotel on many occasions since 1979, I can honestly say that in terms of cleanliness, friendliness, value for money and location - you will not find better. Today the hotel is still run by the same family - which speaks volumes. I can highly recommend this hotel looking for a good value, friendly break in the sun!
