Travelodge Cambridge Central Hotel

I do not recommend this hotel, unfortunately. I have been there twice in April for work and on both occasions I was given a room that had clothes moths in. On both occasions they offered to give me another room which thankfully didn’t have moths in (though on my first stay I tried 2 rooms before I found the 3rd free of moths). This shows that it was not a random occurrence, but an ongoing problem across many rooms in the hotel. (Over the past 2 weeks I have been in 5 rooms, 3 of which had moths). I therefore think that the hotel has an infestation of moths - indicating a lack of cleanliness and poor general upkeep. This was also evident in the rooms which were dusty and, while surface-level clean, after looking closer I spotted food/debris/dust on the floor. The staff did not seem bothered or surprised at all by the moths. No apology was given. If you do stay here, I recommend checking the curtains/ beds/ chairs for any moths before unpacking your luggage. Apologies for the negative review but I was taken aback by the poor quality of the experience

Arrived at the Travelodge central Cambridge. Kind of nice welcome. I thought I’d get a drink first before going to my room which was nice and not that expensive for a wine. However, I saw guests arrive and no one was there to welcome or serve them. Everyone seemed to be going in a door and not coming out. There’s lots of eateries and supermarkets opposite the hotel. Very handy indeed! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I slept rather well. It’s very quiet in the hotel and can’t hear anything from the road at all from my room, but this was on a Monday. Breakfast was nice. Good variety on offer. I obviously went for a hot breakfast which was super. Not sure if if caters for vegetarians much but they won’t go hungry. The only thing I found strange was that the chefs would come out of the kitchen and be a waiter/waitress too 🤔 All in all, nice stay at the Travelodge central Cambridge.

I had a really nice and enjoyable stay. My room was clean , plenty of pillows and towels. It was quiet which was really nice. Perhaps I picked a quiet weekend away over Easter.The receptionist was helpful as my original 1st room kept locking me out and had problems with the key card. I was disappointed as I really liked the original room I was in. No dramas and I accepted another room.

Wouldn't recommend it for cleaness. There was dirty socks under my bed from previous guests. Around the ceiling lights there was cobwebs.

Lovely stay. Right next door to concert venue for band we came to see. Friendly staff, spacious and clean room. Quiet inside and out, despite great view over the main square. Fabulous night’s sleep and great breakfast. What more can you say?

On Entry, it was easy getting to the reception. Everything looked clean and tidy and the lady at reception was welcoming and friendly. There were no troubles checking in, and she was very clear and helpful on directions to getting to our room.
