We stayed 10 days half board at the Son Matias based on trip advisor recommendations and we were not disappointed. From the minute we rocked up to reception till the day we left we would have to say the staff were the most friendliest and helpful we have encountered which added to our holiday. Nothing was a problem from the reception staff to the Bar staff and the Restaurant staff. The food was excellent and very well prepared. Corrinne the hard working entertainment manager kept us all well entertained and on our toes. We would recommend this Hotel and will return.

We have not visited Majorca for a long time, but we were pleasantly surprised how good THE SON MATIAS was ,its in a great location, right on the beach, the general appearance of the hotel was good, the entertainment was first class, the rooms were excellent a good size, a lovely balcony, The food for breakfast was superb, the service by all the staff was the best we've had in a long time.

I cannot fault this hotel. All the staff were welcoming and friendly . Perfect location next to the beach and a short walking distance to both Palmanova and Magaluf. Amazing views of the sea from the 7th floor. Lots of storage space in the room , very comfortable beds , powerful walk in shower , large balcony , many English TV channels and everywhere was very clean . Swimming pool was cold though. Excellent breakfast and evening meal choices . Food was very high quality . Evening drinks including water are chargeable to your room using the key card. Entertainment was good , mainly singers . A bus trip to Palma is recommended . The bus stop is only 2 minutes walk away. There are plenty of supermarkets, bars and shops nearby .We will definitely return to Son Matias Beach hotel in the future.

Fabulous hotel. Great staff great entertainment Ideal location five stars. Food is outstanding Rooms very spacious immaculately cleaned. New bathrooms have been fitted. Every room has a sea view. Hotel is right on the beach several fantastic restaurants and bars nearby

Just been reading a review about aguy with complaints as long as your arm about this hotel,well my wife and I have just returned from a 7 night stay and as usual the reception staff,restaurant staff,cleaners, and Andres the hotel manager were always very friendly, the rooms are spotless the food is good with something for everybody, there is entertainment every day during the day and in the evening we've been been to this hotel many times over the years and would highly recommend it looking forward to our next visit in September 2025 Nev & Christine

Great hotel right on the beach .Rooms are of a good standard and the hotel is spotlessly clean . Breakfast is really good and the evening meals are also good , with a good choice of at least 6 dishes all served buffet style , but can be a bit repetitive. Entertainment at night is very good and the pool areas and snack bar adds to a relaxed experience

This was our first stay at this hotel and we were very pleased. They placed us in a high room, on the side located above the pool area and with more sun through the day (as per our email request, when booking). We were able to check in early on arrival and get the holiday started, woo hoo. Room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were all friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of sunbeds available, had a Bali bed every time we visited the pool area. Breakfast was great every morning, plenty of selection. Evening meals were the same, good choice of hot and cold food. Only thing I would mention is that the eating times are not as big a window, as other hotels we have stayed at. This hotel is definitely geared around the more mature holiday maker, but was not a problem for us. Would definitely return.

Lovely hotel, amazing sea views, had a room on 1st floor with a large balcony. New sunbeds this year, very comfortable. All staff are amazing from lifeguard to hotel reception and restaurant/bar. One small criticism food, limited choice, lukewarm at best. When outside restaurant area closed queue for breakfast was annoying. But otherwise great hotel.

Fabulous stay at the Son Matias Beach to celebrate my birthday. All staff from reception ,bar staff and cleaners are very friendly and helpful and work very hard . Too many to mention all individual names , but lovely service from Sue at the bar , Josaphine, and Rafa. Our room was ready for us when we arrived at midday . It was perfect , on the first floor with a large terrace. i would try and request this room again . The food was also lovely , good choice at breakfast and dinner . We had an early pick-up on our departure day . If you tell reception the day before , you can go down early for a continental breakfast . On my birthday i was given a lovely gift of a bottle of limoncello, a card and a travel plug ,absolutely amazing surprise . Will definitely be returning .
