Host was gracious and helpful, the breakfast was excellent. The house is old and a bit rustic but that's the experience we wanted. It is close to the areas we wanted to visit. It was a great experience overall. Would stay there again.

Fantastisk oplevelse
Det var en fantastisk oplevelse. Et meget autentisk sted, virkelig en fantastisk oplevelse. Rigtig fint morgenbord i skønne omgivelser. Rigtig venligt værtspar, som var behjælpelig ift, hvad vi gerne ville opleve i området. Var også behjælpelig med at reservere bord på restaurant til aftensmad. Hvis vi kommer tilbage til området, kunne vi godt finde på at overnatte der igen. Tusind tak for en skøn oplevelse

We had a great stay in this Chateau. Carl cooked dinner for us one evening and it was the best meal we had in France. He also made breakfast every morning and was served at 9am. We enjoyed visiting with other guests at breakfast. Our room and bathroom were huge!
This place had room to park our tental car for free and was convenient to all Normandy locations.

First - the positives: the food is very good. We had dinner here the first night and breakfast every morning Everything was tasty and nicely presented. The rooms were clean when we arrived. There is a small gravel parking lot, which is free. The negatives: this place is VERY dilapidated. The rooms are full of old, semi-broken furniture. The bathrooms are marginal at best - low water pressure, sometimes no hot water at all, and thin, grey towels that are very old. After the first night there was NO HOUSEKEEPING. This is a chateau in name only - do not expect luxury. It is not expensive, but it also is not up to normal standards of upkeep.

Our family spent 2 nights here while we were exploring the Normandy region. It is a delightful place to stay! A couple of recommendations: Have Carl plan a day for you, and request a dinner at the chateau. Both of these things resulted in our stay being both special and memorable. We would go out of our way to stay here again if we are traveling anywhere in France. The location is perfect for getting to all of the major destinations in Normandy. And after nearly a dozen trips to France, we have discovered our favorite breakfast, including the best croissants we have eaten. Truly a special place with wonderful owners.
