Socalco Nature Calheta

We stayed for 10 nights in this hotel and it was wonderful. After a warm welcome and a tour of the common rooms and the kitchen we got to our room. It can be a climb on the stairs with the suitcase but it was well worth it. The view of the room was amazing and private. The food and wines are lovely as well. The staff is very kind and they all speak English very well. Make sure to say hi to Johnny the hotel cat.

Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage und das Konzept des Hotels, einschliesslich des tollen Restaurants, sind wirklich aussergewöhnlich. Der Fokus liegt auf der atemberaubenden Natur. Wir konnten die Begeisterung des Personals spüren und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir werden wiederkommen!

My wife and I would recommend Socalco to any couple, family, or single individual looking to stay in Madeira. The room accommodations met and exceeded all expectations. The view the property provides is like no other on the island. The staff are all welcoming and especially, Diego and Rubina. You feel spoiled with all of the amenities they have to offer right from the start due to the excellent staff. We feel so fortunate to have come and it helped make our trip wonderful! You’d be foolish not to stay here.

My wife & I had the pleasure of staying at Socalco in May of this year - and what a pleasure it was! From the first welcoming hello to the last regretful goodbye, we can't fault the staff or the hotel. The staff were all very friendly & welcoming, from the management team to the gardener & house-keeping - we felt like we were amongst friends! Our room was very comfortable & well appointed with a little kitchenette, shower room, comfortable bed, window bench seats to enjoy our sea view. The hotel is built into the cliff, so there were plenty of steps to get around. The 'pool' is more of a plunge pool but was more than suitable for our needs. And the food! Wow! Andrea, the head chef, & his team produce extremely tasty & taste bud challenging food - and never the same meal twice - using local produce from the island or their own kitchen garden. They pride themselves, rightfully, on growing as much as they can themselves to use in the kitchen - a big ethos for them. Go for the cookery class they provide. We weren't shown how to use kitchen utensils, but how to challenge our taste buds with what we have available & produced delicious servings! And, made sourdough bread which was served to the guests!! We certainly recommend staying here without a doubt & will be back ourselves. Our stay at Socalco was one of the best we've had, hence this long review! Thank you & we'll see you again.

Estadia proporcionada por familiares, que estavam longe de imaginar a experiência de elevada qualidade que tivemos. Tivemos a sorte de ficar no alojamento 1 "A casa do Chef" com conforto, luz e dimensão espectacular. Todo o empreendimento revela um conceito perfeitamente encaixado na natureza, elevando o trabalho efectuado pelos agricultores madeirenses ao longo dos séculos. Os edifícios originais, carregados de História, foram encaixados de forma sublime pelos mentores deste projecto. O restaurante deste hotel, conduzido pelas mãos do Chef André e sua equipa, ofereceu-nos uma experiência gastronómica que não esqueceremos tão depressa, tanto pela qualidade dos pequenos almoços, mas acima de tudo pelos jantares de degustação. Por fim fica uma referência ao restante Staff deste Hotel, que acima de tudo, revelou grande profissionalismo e enorme simpatia. Sem qualquer dúvida, uma experiência a repetir!

Just amazing - can't recommend enough! The staff were particularly incredible. Gonzalo was the absolute BEST. We really felt like family. Breakfast was great, views were amazing, property was peaceful. It is truly such a beautiful, special place.

Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme bénéficiant d’une vue sur mer exceptionnelle. Le personnel comme le lieu sont extrêmement apaisants. Nous aimions retrouver cet endroit après nos nombreuses randonnées dans la région. Le restaurant vous propose une aventure culinaire très agréable. Un must lors de notre séjour sur l’île de madère.

Das Socalco Nature hat unsere Flitterwochen auf Madeira zu einer besonders schönen Reise gemacht. Das gesamte Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll, sauber und die Aussicht ist wundervoll. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, abwechslungsreich und mehr als ausreichend. Für uns war alles perfekt und wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Sem dúvida alguma que 02 dias foram pouco tempo para desfrutar deste paraíso. Destaco toda a disponibilidade, boa disposição e toda a simpatia da equipa. A refeição feita no restaurante O Razão é sem duvida alguma algo que não pode faltar, uma experiência gastronómica singular.
