Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort

We've just stayed for a week at this hotel, and although it was nice enough, we wouldn't rate it as a 4* hotel, more like a 3* plus. As for the positives, firstly the reception team are all extremely helpful and friendly, and helped us out with any issues we had. Before arrival, I had emailed to ask for a room on a high floor, which they accommodated with no issues. They also organised for our room to be decorated with flowers and petals at quite late notice for a special occasion which was a lovely touch. The food overall was pretty tasty and varied, I'm vegetarian and most nights I could eat well, although a couple nights my only options were salad and chips, or sometimes the labelling wasn't sufficient so it wasn't clear what was vegetarian. One night, the vegetarian option was mixed with the non-vegetarian (fish) option, however the staff were great and got me a fresh plate from the back with just the vegetarian option so I could still eat it! The pool areas are really good, the pool bar has great drinks and mostly friendly staff, and there are plenty of sun loungers. The daytime entertainment was also really good with lots of activities for everyone, children and adults. The location of the hotel is perfect, it's close to the airport so a short transfer time, there's a shopping centre with a SPAR shop right next door, and it's a great walk down to the harbour and restaurant areas. However, the main reasons we consider it not to be of 4* quality are: - TOWELS. Towels were such a big issue at this hotel. Every day our room was cleaned around 12/1pm, but they don't start delivering towels to the room until after 3pm, although on two occasions we had to ask reception to bring us towels, and also had times where it was after 6pm and they still hadn't been brought round. We also had to use items of clothing to dry our hands in the room in the daytime. It seems strange that the towels aren't changed when the room is cleaned. On top of this, some of them had fairly large holes. - The drinks were really inconsistent. You can ask for the same drink every day but it'll never come the same and be made up of different components. At one point I asked for a margarita and it was pink for some reason and definitely didn't taste like a margarita! There is also a very limited amount of cocktails available on the all inclusive menu, things like mojitos are charged extra. - The snack bar by the pool was really poor. They served leftover breakfast, and in the afternoon it was stone cold burgers and hot dogs. Again as a vegetarian, I struggled to eat at this snack bar, other than some cake. - A member of staff at the pool bar gave someone on a half board package free drinks because she couldn't be bothered to get the card machine. For someone who paid a lot of money to have the all-inclusive package, it really undermines this and makes me question why we paid the extra money. - The rooms were not properly cleaned throughout our stay. Hôtel bien situé, à deux pas de la plage et très proche de l’aéroport (5 min) – pratique mais bruyant à cause des avions. Les piscines sont top, les activités correctes, et les chambres bien nettoyées chaque jour. Par contre, les draps n’ont pas été changés de toute la semaine. La nourriture est franchement mauvaise, peu de choix et de mauvaise qualité. Et à l’arrivée, on a dû attendre jusqu’à 15h sans serviettes ni accès aux installations. Dommage, car l’hôtel a du potentiel.

I visited in April with my husband for 5 days all inclusive as we needed a mini break away. This was the first time we had visited Fuerteventura and our first stay at an Elba hotel. We had the most amazing stay at this hotel, hotel staff were warm and welcoming during our stay and very attentive and happy to help when we needed. The hotel was very clean and modern and located in a quiet peaceful place which was perfect for a bit of relaxation, the hotel is located on the beach front with beautiful views. One of the pools was quite cold so we only braved it once, but the other pool and jacuzzis was a lovely temperature and we used these more, big size pools so plenty room to have fun in the sun. Rooms were so clean, mini bar was stocked up everyday and good size balcony for us both - again it was so peaceful on our balcony and you could hear the birds singing, it was lovely. Entertainment was great, we had a live singer one night and she was so good. Food was great in the buffet restaurant, plenty of choices for everyone, one evening there was a seafood theme which delicious, my husband isn’t a fan of seafood but there was still plenty of food for him to enjoy. Breakfast had a wide range of food available, including a cooked breakfast - snacks were burgers, chicken, crisps, fries, your usual snacks you would find at a pool bar. The only criticism I have is the cocktail menu was limited on what you could have as an all inclusive guest, some you had to pay for. Mojito is one of the main cocktails but this was not included, though we still enjoyed the cocktails that were available. There was a gift shop located at this hotel which was great, lots of beautiful little souvenirs and trinkets, one of my personal favourites was the small cactus plants you could bring home and plant, I loved them that much I bought six for myself and for gifts for loved ones. Hotel is just a few minutes from the shopping centre where there is a Euro Spa and many other shops to do some shopping. We hired scooters that are located at many points, and took a ride out. These cost 35 cents per minute, cheap way of getting around Caleta De Fuste and was so much fun. Overall, this was a gorgeous hotel, staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend a stay here and we had a great time and come away feeling refreshed and relaxed. Thank you Elba Carlota, we will see you again soon on our travels to Fuerteventura.

What can I say? We arrived on the 10/06/25 super excited because we had previously stayed at Elba Sara. Wow what a difference in the hotels even though both 4 star. Food terrible flies all over it, rooms grubby, we had ants nest and I demanded to be moved rooms. Which they did after saying they’d spray it first. Entertainment was swapped about with times. Pepe the caterpillar didn’t come out arriving the toddler pool at all were as in the Sara he did. Very poor for the kids entertainment too. We and others found they will bend over backwards for the French. But other nationalities don’t seem to get a look in. 14 night we stayed not once did we have our bedding changed in either rooms we were in. Would definitely not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If we could have gone home a week after arriving we would have.
