A return visit to this friendly, value-for-money hotel. We had an excellent week - the grounds are spotless, our room was comfortable and clean ( comfy beds, great sleep!) and the sports facilities are terrific. The showers are powerful with an endless supply of hot water. A special shout-out must go to the hard- working staff team who were friendly, patient and accommodating. Our check in/out was smooth and we noted that the staff speak many languages and are happy to help guests with their various requests. The gardner does a great job of keeping the beautiful grounds tidy and the ladies who clean the rooms work hard to keep everything fresh and topped up. The restaurant team work tirelessly to clear and reset tables, provide drinks and keep the buffet area tidy. The kitchen staff too are very visible - out checking what needs replaced and also checking the area is clean. The crockery and cutlery is also spotless! Great to see! Sadly we witnessed some very rude and demanding drunken guests at dinner, but the staff remained patient, polite and calm in dealing with them. Well done! We ate very well during our stay and enjoyed a great selection of fresh, healthy dishes. Loved the salads, bread choices, fruits and yogurts as well as all of the delicious meat, fish and chicken dishes. There were lots of fresh vegetable choices and a variety of sides including potatoes, rice and pasta. We ate something different at every course/meal. There is lots of variety and something for all tastes. We enjoyed trying a little Spanish and the staff did great helping us to pronounce words/ phrase things. Special mention goes to Ismael for his good humour in helping us learn! ‘Thank you brother, Ismael!’ . Thanks too to Abigail for her friendship! Overall, a great holiday! Evening entertainment was decent for a small hotel - bingo, quizzes, quality live music. There is a well-stocked shop in the hotel and a free daily shuttle bus is available if you need it to travel to the busier resort of Caleta de Fuste. We enjoyed glorious walks along the coastline into Caleta and beyond the the salt mines. There are a few bars/restaurants close by if you need a change of scene. Last mention - the pool - yes, it’s very cold, but it’s also very clean and beautiful to swim in! Keep moving and you’ll get warm! Another super break Elba Lucia - thank you, we hope to return another time!
