The staff , food , layout and position of this Hotel are all good in my opinion. Where it is let down is the decision to not have the air conditioning available in the main building or guest rooms during the winter months , November to April. This decision was taken by the management as in there opinion it is not needed ( perhaps working and living on this Island they get used to the heat). Air conditioning was advertised on the JET 2 website at my time of booking , and the official hotel website also.I believe it's still advertised on the Hotel site as i write this review. So you pay upfront and don't receive what you expect. So you can get a fan , 20 Euro's deposit from reception to blow the warm air around your room, see if that helps (it doesn't). You suffer for a number of nights and approach your JET 2 rep for some help, she tries helpfully to offer the hire of a portable air conditioning unit ( a little noisy but works apparently ) at the cost of 65 Euros for the remaining 5 nights. So for 13 Euro's per night ( 182 Euro's across 14 nights) I can have a portable air conditioning unit in my room to do the job that the in built air conditioning should be doing. Let me pay additional money for a service which in my opinion I have already paid for , i think not. The hotel saves money, you are expected to pay for your comfort , what a joke. So my Holiday which i believe could of been so much better was ruined by a decision made by the management, they are saying it's a Environmental - Save the planet issue when in my opinion (and the other guests i spoke to) believe it's simply to save money, shame on them for not putting there clients first. If your happy and think you can manage without it then go ahead , it's a good hotel. However if you find you have issues sleeping ,be prepared to put your hand in your pocket again and pay for something to be put into your room which is already there. I have complained to JET 2 however i'm not holding my breath , after all they sent an email 12 days before we flew saying no air con, no offer to change or cancel. Air con has not been on since the end of October 2024, strange how long it's taken to get the message out to there clients, we did not go until towards the end of January 2025.
