Overall, this is a generally nice hotel with clean rooms and decent food options. However, it’s important to be aware that this is very much a family-oriented hotel, and during our stay, it was absolutely full of children. Meal times in the restaurant are chaotic – more of a free-for-all with lots of noise, misbehaving kids, and very little sense of order. The food hall is overcrowded with tables packed tightly together, which makes the dining experience feel more like a school canteen than a relaxing holiday meal. It would be great if the hotel offered smaller tables set aside for adults or couples who would prefer a quieter space to enjoy their meals. On a positive note, the gluten-free options were adequate. There’s a locked gluten-free cabinet (staff must unlock it for you), and the chefs can prepare gluten-free pasta and pizza on request with no prior notice. Most food items are clearly labelled with allergens, although the snack bar does not have any allergen information available. We did experience a few issues during our stay. One day we returned to our room to find a cot had been placed inside, despite the fact that we don’t have children. I contacted the manager via WhatsApp, as instructed in the welcome letter, but received no response, so we had to move it into the hallway ourselves. Another recurring inconvenience was our room keys constantly needing reactivation – this happened three or four times and became quite frustrating. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, though there is definitely a language barrier with some, which can come across as rude. In particular, an older dark-haired woman at reception didn’t greet us or even acknowledge us upon arrival, which left a poor first impression. While signage around the hotel clearly states that sunbeds cannot be reserved, this rule is not enforced. Many guests reserve beds early in the morning, leaving very few available for those who actually follow the rules. Although staff do place notes on the reserved beds asking guests not to do this, it doesn’t seem to be effective. All in all, I would say this hotel feels more like a 3-star experience. If you’re a couple or a group of adults looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, I would recommend considering a more mature, adult-friendly hotel. This one definitely caters more toward large families and is overrun with children.
