Local élégant, richement décoré. Accueil très aimable. Grande chambre, presque une suite. Il n'y a malheureusement pas de restaurant mais le petit déjeuner est excellent. Bien situé : près du centre ville et pas loin du départ par le tunnel. Garage fermé à disposition.

We booked this hotel for one night, and a few days after booking we added a parking place, so we speak to the lady about our reservation. On the day of arriving we call the parking place and we were really shocked to hear they made a mistake with the booking and the booking was a day before arriving!! So when we came to the hotel they wanted us to pay again because we missed the booking. The lady from the customer service was really rude! We never had this bad service before. How you treat your customers is not OK! We will NOT recommend it at all and book another hotel. It is unfortunate because we book a lot of hotels over here. Sincerely Rens M

We have stayed here several times for short breaks in Calais and would have no hesitation in recommending staying here. Steeping into this hotel is like stepping into an oasis of tranquility. It is close to the centre of town, as well as a short distance from the train and bus hub. The Classic rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard and the public areas are very welcoming and elegant. This calmness is reflected by all of the staff who are very helpful, polite and speak good English. The full breakfast is quite something and well worth having. For a small additional cost there is the added bonus of the underground car park which also has an electric charging point available.

Yet another brilliant stay in this charismatic hotel. We stay several times a year. The bathrooms are modern, the rest of the hotel historic. The breakfast is on the expensive side, but you will be eating it in a huge ballroom (and we are often the only people eating). The staff seem to have a high turnover, but I have never found anyone who was less than very helpful. You will have a quiet time (the building is so large you rarely encounter other guests) in a beautiful building that yells "France".

I cannot express enough superlatives about this hotel. From a warm welcome to outstanding customer service and a willingness to provide the customer with a first class experience. Melanie and Thierry put their heart and soul into the hotel and their endeavours reward the guests with a stay that far exceeds any star rating or review that I can give. If you miss out on staying at the Hotel Meurice you will regret it.

Bel établissement, bien placé au centre de Calais. Deux nuits aux charmes d'antan. De bons petits déjeuners et un accueil aimable et souriant. Je reviendrai avec plaisir en ce lieu chargé d'histoire où de célèbres hôtes en ont composé les plus beaux moments.

L’hôtel Meurice est un établissement magnifique, avec du cachet alliant parfaitement le charme de l’ancien avec le confort du moderne ! C’est un super endroit cosy et feutré, on s’y sent très bien, c’est chaleureux et spacieux. Merci aux dames de l’accueil particulièrement celle que nous avons croisé au check in et avec qui nous avons pu discuter de l’histoire de l’hôtel. Merci à vous Madame pour votre bonne humeur et votre sens client irréprochable. La chambre était super propre, la literie est ultra confortable et la salle de bain magnifique. Y’a rien à dire, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, je recommanderai à mes proches et j’y retournerai à l’occasion !

Probably our 20th or so stay at this gem of a hotel. Place has real history to it and the owners believe in old fashioned quality hospitality. Well located but in a quiet street. Breakfast is solid but for us could maybe benefit from a revamp. (Though this may be because we have had breakfast so often here) An excellent hotel.

Another great stay at Hotel Meurice with my children. The staff are super friendly and we always feel looked after. The bedding is a treat - we slept so well!! Great location with lots of shops and restaurants/bars just around the corner. See you again soon.
