Protur Floriana Resort

This place was absolutely amazing for my first experience and has set a very high bar .. the staff warm and welcoming .. the apartment was spotless clean fresh towels every day and very spacious .. food served all day freshly cooked and catered to every palette.. the bar was well stocked and catered for different taste the night entertainment catered for all ages would defo recommend and go back !!!

Just returned after a 3 night stay all inclusive so we arrived late at night and got took to our apartment block J room was clean so my review is as follows beds very hard woken from 4am by the cockerels and dogs barking this was every am The food breakfast was ok dinner and lunch questionable drinks was fine We was due to check out 12pm on Saturday 7am our room was entered by a man with a key card and our room was locked on the inside my husband shouted what do you want the reply was sorry sorry we was still in bed as we knew we had a day of travelling We rang reception they had no idea who it was as the staff do t start work early I would highly recommend putting a chair against your door for extra security I’m glad we was travelling home as I would of been very unnerved

We stayed at this resort the beginning of September 2024, We Booked through TUI & when we finally left palma airport the bus transfer took maybe just over 1 hr & we were the first drop off in Cala bona which was great, check in took 5 mins & then we got escorted to our rooms on the wee buggy they have, rooms are really big & so is the balcony, there’s 2 wardrobes ( 1 in bedroom & 1 in living room ) so plenty of room to put everything away, there’s a fridge, kettle & toaster as well as a hob for cooking should you need to, we were AI so never used anything except the fridge for water, we bought water down in Cala bona but there’s a filtered water tap beside the main bar at the entertainment bit if you want to fill bottles up, Our rooms were in block I which has a lift although we just used the stairs as we were only on the second floor, the pool at these blocks is really good for kids & adults, we never used the other pool so don’t know how deep it is but the entertainment team use it for activities so I’d imagine it wouldn’t be too deep, there is a kids pool too & another 2 pools at other areas within the resort. I’m an early riser so I’m always up & out as I don’t like sitting about my room so I was always at the pool about 8 am & this is also when the groundsman is cleaning round the pool but there was only a few beds reserved before I got down, most people don’t start to come to the pool till 10am ish as this is when the hotel say the pool is open although there’s people in before that, there were always plenty of beds available throughout the day, There’s no smoking in the restaurants or at the pools so smokers need to go to the smoking areas which makes it more pleasant for non smokers & kids, Both restaurants are great & the choice of food is better than any holiday I’ve ever been on & everything I tried was great so personally I can’t complain, easier to judge for yourself instead of reading any bad reviews about it that I also read, ice lollys available all day too. The beer is better in the pint glasses you get from the main bar in the evening at the entertainment bit, from what I hear the wine & spirits were good too, soft drinks all available as well as slushes. The place is spotless & waiters/waitresses ready to take plates & glasses away to be washed as soon as you’re finished, The entertainment is ok but there’s not really any interaction between the acts & guests so if you want a dance or whatever then the walk into Cala bona is 5 mins & there’s plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from should you want a change out of the resort & the walk along the promenade all the way into Cala Millor is stunning All in all, the staff are pleasant, grounds are well looked after food & drink is really good so we’ll definitely return at some point in the next few years.

My wife and i are just back from a 10 day stay in the resort,we decided to go Self- Catering for a change as we normally go half board on holidays. I must say we loved the spacious rooms,the quietness,the bed was not at all uncomfortable as we had read some reviews that suggested they were. Each to their own with these type of things i suppose,but we both liked the bed and always had a good nights sleep there. The rooms are comfortable with all a couple would require,and if there is anything you would like added the fabulous staff are there to listen and provide. We asked for a toaster and kettle which was provided immediately. We also requested egg cups for having a boiled egg in the morning,this was provided quickly also. I must say the staff were wonderful,from the reception to the cleaning staff in the rooms. Floriana staff also had a nice surprise bottle of bubbly in the room for my birthday whilst staying there,it was a very nice touch. All in all we found it all first class,the only problem we had was it was a little far back from the front,as we are both getting on in years it was the only downside we found,although we knew that before we went. It certainly didn't spoil our stay in any way. Top marks to Protur,for a top class resort which was kept spotless clean at all times.

Lovely hotel Very clean Lots to do Arriving at hotel was little worried as out room was at bk but honestly the walk is not for and there is so many pool so u are allay not for from a pool or bar. This is a 3 start but I would say it is more a 4 star. Food is lovely there is only 3 things for me letting hotel down. No hair dryer No where to do makeup or hair that has plugs and mirror together. And the biggie no shop in the hotel there is more than enough space to fit on in at hotel. We were all inclusive so not to much an issue but defo missing one for ie crisps inflatables juice for room ect. Nearest shop is a 5-10 min walk no good for people with mobility issues. Other than that can’t fault it.

Travelled at the height of the summer school holidays self catering. This was our first holiday self catering and not all inclusive so i cannot comment on AI facilities but from what I saw - it was standard European 3* AI. Hotel is quite a bit from the airport and especially if you are the last hotel drop off on the coach so please factor that in and appreciate this is not the hotels fault. We were placed in block G and I have to agree, the cleaning was pretty shocking. on 2 occasions I had to ask for fresh towels and these were not on the days when the cleaner doesn’t visit. And when we did receive a clean, I am yet to understand what she actually cleaned. The room itself was perfect, I actually liked the firm mattress! Plenty of pools and sunbeds, some of the pools were very overcrowded. The entertainment was a ok, they had the usual mini disco for the kids and some external acts. Because we were self catering we did miss the majority of the entertainment. If you are going self catering the hotel is a great location for places to eat in Cala Bona and Cala Millor. From your typical British bars to your traditional seafood/tapas. And many supermarkets if you want to get some essentials for your apartment. Travelling as a young family, we felt very safe walking around. Overall this was an ideal hotel and it what was I expected when I booked it.

First appearances on arrival were good. Room adequate for a 3* clean and plenty of storage space. We were placed in block g. No issues with the cockrels like mentioned by other guests. Entertainment around the pools during the day and the evening was good, my kids loved the waterpolo everyday. Pools very small and crowded during peak season, do not appear big enough to cater for all the guests. Lots of sunbeds so no morning struggle, my favourite thing about the hotel. Now for the issues - cleaning of the rooms. Meant to be cleaned alternate days. Our room and our families room were never cleaned during our stay. Towels were changed but no bedding changes during our 2 week stay. I ended up taking bedding from the maids cupboard and changing my own. Stairs and landing around G are filthy, seems this part of the hotel are forgotten about even though we have all paid the same. My advice steer clear of this block email and request another. We did raise with reception who said we should ask for our beds to be changed. Crazy! Would I stay here again - I would not rush back. Cala bona itself is beautiful but I would pay more to stay somewhere else. Absolutely fine for a cheap no frills holiday. They really need to step up the cleanliness of the hotel for it to be better.

Hemos estado diez días en el hotel y hemos estado muy a gusto.Las habitaciones muy bien,el todo incluido pues bastante bien también y el personal un diez.Especial mención a Joaquín del comedor,un hombre súper atento!las niñas en el mini club encantadas,y la animación muy bien!! Un hotel con muy buen ambiente!!y a cinco minutos andando de el paseo de la playa,donde hay muy buen ambiente también!

Lovely place, lovely people, good for a 3 star , food was decent , it’s hard to cater for every nationality and they did their best, entertainment was lacking but from what I can see it has never been great. Location ideal , will go again. We rented a car through their own rental company . Again can’t fault them either, they were not out to screw people over for the odd dent or alloy mark . They didn’t even check it over when I handed it back . They just wanted to make sure I had filled the tank back up again .
