Villas Maribel

From a family of 4 (2 adults, 7 year old, 12 year old) Pros - beautiful pool, good size villa, close to supermarkets and little beach. We stayed in villa 5 which had the sun shining on the pool from 10am until it went down. The pool is salt water. A few restaurants within 10 mins walk. Sa Quandra was our favourite. After 9pm everything goes quiet so great for families. Check in/out at reception was straight forward. We had a decent meal in the hotel restaurant while we waited for our keys. Cons - ants! A lot of the cupboards didn’t shut properly so we had to store all opened food in the fridge or zip lock bags. The sheets on the bed were not great. You can upgrade to duvets if you ask. WiFi was temperamental on an evening.

Just home from a week at these villas, three adults. Great location with an easy stroll to the beach at Cala Santandria with it's lovely Beach Bar and three restaurants and some of best sunsets I've seen. Villa was clean, not five star but we were more than happy. Clean and towel change at day three and a useful information pack. Outside space was great as was pool and sunbeds are good quality. Nice shaded, outside dining area to the front which was great for breakfast. Good little shop literally just up the road. You go to the Maribel Hotel reception to check in and check out and they were very friendly, it's about a ten minute walk but there is also a bigger supermarket there and more bars/restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Maribel we had a great little holiday.

We stayed here as a family of 3 (2 adults and a 4 year old) for a week in mid-May. The villa was absolutely perfect for us - it was very clean, well stocked with towels, toilet roll and fresh bedding. We were in Villa 6 which had one bedroom upstairs with en suite, 2 bedrooms downstairs and a bathroom, kitchen and living room. The kitchen had all the crockery etc you could want, plus a Nespresso coffee machine (no pods though so you need to buy them), dishwasher and washing machine, large fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. They also provided washing up liquid and sponge, tea towels, one washing tab and one dishwasher tab. There was a big TV which had access to Netflix etc - the connection sometimes went abit funny but switching the TV off and on again a few times helped it. There was free wifi too and air con in every room which you could control by individual remotes. Outside the pool and BBQ area were just wonderful, very private and spacious, a large outdoor table and chairs, 6 sunloungers and a parasol. We found it to be very quiet at night time. There was a small shop opposite the villa which sold pool inflatables etc, and a small supermarket next to that. A 2 minute walk down the hill is a small beach cove (Santandria) which was lovely. It's small and almost splits into two sections; there was a lot of dried seaweed but it's just like hay really so very inoffensive! There are loungers which you can rent, and a lovely bar/restaurant called Es Bruc on the beach which you can have drinks, ice creams and some nice sea food. From here you can walk right along the coast to the end if you wish. There is also a nice restaurant called "Steak House" which doesnt look like much from the outside but inside it's really, really nice. Important to note, you have to go to the reception at the Maribel Hotel when you arrive to do the paperwork and get your key. The information we had said it was on the right hand side as you came down the road, but it's on the left! You can park outside and then have to drive/walk to the villa which is a few streets over. It's a one way system so if driving you do a big loop (about 4 mins) and there is street parking along the road where the villas are. You go back on the day you check out too, the reception is open from 9am. Cleaners came in half way through the week and emptied the bins, changed the bedding and left fresh towels and loo rolls. I think they did a quick mop of the floors and general tidy up too. I would stay here again; it was everything we wanted and we had a great week.

Just come back from a weeks holiday at the Cala Blanca booked with Jet2villas. The staff on reception were so helpful, the lovely lady there helped me with all our queries and issues. On arrival they let us check in early, showing us the villa and where to park. I asked for extra pillows and a DVD player- dropped of within a few hours. We had issues with the wifi which turned out to be affecting a few others. All sorted the next day. Housekeeping came in on day three and cleaned and made beds- and clean towels. We also got clean towels on day 6. Pool was beautiful, plenty of sun beds, kitchen equipped for what we needed (maybe could of done with extra oven trays - but I’m sure they would of given us some if I had asked. Staying in May we could park on the roads nearby easily. Went to the local supermarkets and restaurants and everything spot on. Especially liked the cove at Santandria, and the restaurant there Sa Quadra. Beautiful food! Would go back again!

We travelled with Jet2. We were dropped at the Villa only to discover the reception area was a 15 minute walk away. Jo on reception was an absolute star. She was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the best stay. We were disappointed not to have a welcome pack. I would be more than happy to pay for a welcome pack. Something for Jet2 to think about. Lovely spacious villa with a fabulous pool and outdoor space. Close to a lovely quite cove with a few nice restaurants. A really nice area for families with small children. Would return and recommend.

These villas are by no means luxurious but they had everything we needed and the pool was fantastic (Villa 1). It should be noted that if you have a hire car there is NO dedicated parking and it’s pot luck whether you are able to squeeze into a parking space in the street or not. We were told to park in front of the supermarket but the whole time we were there, there were no spaces available. The people at the Maribel apartment reception were extremely helpful when we needed anything.
