Premier Inn Buxton

I don't really write reviews any more but feel like I should come out of retirement for the PI, Buxton. A really good stay and everything I would expect from this consistent, quality company. The team there were constantly working together and making sure everyone was seen to promptly and effectively. The hotel was in great condition, clean and the room was of a great standard. Excellent sleep in a very comfy bed. Shower was marvellous. I find the ultimate wi fi log in a little confusing but that's probably me. I do want to mention the Chef in particular. I had a view of the pass and this young man was well organised taking great care over everyone's food. I have eaten at Thyme elsewhere and it's been fine - a great option at the end of a tiring day. However the food here was much better than previous offerings and I was encouraged to use the in house restaurant in the future rather than just because there isn't anything nearby. I was on my pedal bike and PI are excellent for cyclists allowing clean bikes in the room. It makes a real difference and is appreciated. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the edge of the town. I heard a few people commenting on the parking charges. Folks - do your homework and if it's that significant go somewhere with free parking. However if you do go here just bear in mind that the lad on reception didn't introduce the parking charges and can't do anything about them. Well done Premier Inn Buxton. I would stay here again no problem.

We had a great stay here. Jamie went over and above to make sure our stay was comfortable. Food was one of the best we have had at a premier inn, rooms were clean and comfortable. A special thanks to Chloe from housekeeping who left my parents a bottle of wine in their room to celebrate their wedding anniversary, a nice touch! Thank you

Our stay was splendid! We were looked after very well by Jamie, who made sure our stay was brilliant. The food was very good and the presentation and service was likewise. The room was at a very high quality and was very clean. Wonderful stay! And a great night sleep was had aswell. All in all a perfect stay.

Friends came to visit and stayed at Buxton Premier inn. They mentioned how friendly the staff were and how good the fried breakfast was- we didn’t have to make lunch!! It was really handy for them and us as it’s so close to town for eating out and getting to all the sites

I often stay here for business in the High Peak, it never fails & does what it says on the tin! BTW Dans breakfast is amazing 🤩 with Paul, Charlotte & Chloe’s service impeccable, they can’t do enough for you & always with a smiley face. Highly recommended.

In most respects, what one would expect of a Premier Inn. However, in some ways it fell short of my expectations. There was an automated parcel drop and collection machine next to the main door that emitted a constant alarm noise. No-one seemed to be in a hurry to silence it. Part of the machine was used as a place for smokers to stub out cigarettes, displaying a huge pile of disgusting, wet, smelly cigarette ends, probably several days if not weeks of build-up, right next to the hotel's main door. Apparently it's no-one's job to clean it. A long loop of electrical cable emerging from the hotel lay on the footpath between the main door and the pavement. Major trip hazard, especially in the dark. No-one seemed interested in fixing it. Overall, this gave me a strong impression that hotel staff had a 'not my job' attitude. Additionally, be careful where you park your car. The hotel's car park is a busy pedestrian thoroughfare for people who, for some reason, prefer to squeeze between cars rather than take a slightly longer route around them. Park your car in the wrong place and you can expect it to be scratched and dented by pedestrians carrying bags and dragging trolleys.
