Trade Winds Country Cottages

We spent 3 weeks on island & stayed at 3 different locations, as we had a number of guests come to our wedding we saw many accomadation offerings. There is no boubt about the stand out being Tradewinds - when we return it will be the only place we will stay. You can read the other reviews by other people as to why - but just try it for yourself.

What a beautiful place to stay on NI. It is a little way out of Burn Pines but well worth the effort. We stayed at this beautiful place for 9 days and everyday thanked our lucky stars we chose this rural area. The villa was very spacious and two king size rooms with ensuite attached to each. Very peaceful and we could do our own thing when ever without interruptions. Our friendly hosts were ever helpful and always on hand if we needed any advise. Recommend that you check these villas out if you r thinking of a peaceful place to stay when coming to Norfolk Island.💞

If you want to feel the full, friendly, relaxing experience of Norfolk Island then The Trade Winds is THE place to stay. Rachel, Ian, their daughters and puppy Bentley could not have been more welcoming and made us feel that The Trade Winds was where we belonged. We were met at the airport and guided to our cottage where fresh fruit, eggs, wine, cheese & home baked sugar cookies awaited us. Our cottage, Phoebe Adams, was so wonderfully spacious with a central lounge / kitchen area and two king-sized bedrooms, each with an ensuite sized to match, on either end. The whole cottage was spotless and everything we needed was supplied. The pictures on this site don't really do it justice - you can't feel the serenity. Sitting out on the verandah was so tranquil. Our contented sighs and birds being the only the sounds we could hear as we breathed in some of the freshest air on the planet (a measurable fact). Thank you so much Wills family ~ you made our stay on Norfolk Island one we will treasure for ever. I could not recommend The Trade Winds more highly. Do yourself a favour and book in - you will be amazed how relaxed you can feel!

What can I say about our stay at Trade Winds? It was wonderful! Rachel, Ian and the girls made us feel so comfortable and at home. The cottage was spotless and fitted with everything we needed in a home away from home. I travelled with my husband and sister, sharing a cottage. We each had our own bedroom (at opposite sides of the cottage) with our own ensuite. We were welcomed with home grown, fruit and home laid eggs, along with some freshly baked sugar cookies. Our beautiful hosts were so accommodating and ready to help us with anything we needed. They helped us to orientate quickly to island life. The quietness of the location was just wonderful, and just what we needed to unwind and truly relax. Rachel, we just can't thank you enough for wonderful week on Norfolk Island.

Lovely homely and comfortable cottages on acreage about 10 minutes drive out of Burnt Pine. Welcomed on arrival at airport by host Rachel whom we followed in our rental car back to our accommodation. Inside our cottage Phoebe Adams we found a welcome tray of fresh produce from onsite, plus 2 fresh eggs in the fridge. All the cottages have a open outside verandah with seating to enjoy the country views of free roaming chickens and cows crazing and meandering along the back road and paddocks emersing guests in authentic laidback rural Norfolk. We were offered access to produce around the property for our immediate needs; the fresh parsley and basil smelt divine and added amazing flavour to our meals. Our host Rachel was helpful and generous beyond our expectations.

Great rural location perfect for relaxing. Rachel was a wonderful engaging host. She really looked after us and has a wealth of knowledge and experience of Norfolk. The cottages are very comfortable, well equipped and decorated. We easily cooked some beautiful meals in the kitchen with local fresh produce. The king fish was a real delight caught from a local fishing charter. We spent a lot of time on the back verandah soaking up the ambiance. Rachel is to be commended on her recycling initiatives. We highly recommend Trade Winds Country Cottages.
