Buffalo Safari Lodge

The lodge is located right at the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. I was lucky enough to receive an upgraded room and had a great two-night-stay! The room was incredibly spacious and even offered balcony views on two levels. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The lodge itself offers a dining area, a swimming pool and a watering hole where you can see various animals during the day. The food is very good and I was offered a choice between local and international food for every meal. I can definitely recommend this lodge for anyone who wants to spend some time in or around Queen Elizabeth NP as it’s perfectly located to explore the different parts of the part.

We verbleven hier 2 nachten. Hartelijk onthaal door het personeel. De kamers waren heel ruim en mooi gedecoreerd in Afrikaanse stijl. De eerste nacht kregen we bezoek aan de lodge van een Olifant die zijn weg baande door het park. Het eten was zeer lekker en gevarieerd met zicht op het park en bijbehorende dieren. Surplus is het zwembad met zicht op grazende olifanten

This was a wonderful experience during our longer tour through Uganda & Rwanda. It was one of our fave lodges out of about 8 that we stayed in. We stayed on Christmas Eve, and they very kindly upgraded our room since the lodge was not completely full, so our cabin was truly fabulous, and I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy it. The beds are very comfortable, and the decor is perfect for the location. It's super close to the National Park for game drives, boat rides, and I'm sure other activities. The dinner was great, and the service / staff was even better! I wish there was wifi throughout the resort, or at least in each of the cabins, but I have nothing negative to say at all and would definitely recommend this lodge to others.

The rooms were amazing, as was the setting - we had elephants walking through the property and heard hyenas after dark! The staff were superb - attentive, welcoming and friendly. The chef was outstanding, absolutely outstanding and curated a bespoke vegan menu for me, which was fantastic. We absolutely loved the lodge.

I can’t recommend Buffalo Safaris enough! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Odeth was a rockstar from the moment we made our booking – she went above and beyond to ensure our trip would be amazing. The communication was flawless, and Odeth really made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. When we arrived at the lodge, we were greeted with such warmth by the on-the-ground team. The entire crew was so friendly and helpful, which made us feel at home right away. The cottages were absolutely stunning—comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The beds were super cozy, the bathrooms were roomy and immaculate, and everything was in perfect condition. Plus, the food was incredible, and the swimming pool was beautiful! The next day, we went on a game drive with “Mark the guide”, who was incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer our questions. His passion for the wildlife and the area really shone through. Even when his shift had technically ended, Mark was more than happy to join us for the boat cruise, which just shows how dedicated he was to make our experience special. Throughout our stay, the Buffalo team made us feel so valued, and the follow-up after the trip from Odeth just reinforced how much they genuinely care about their guests. Special thanks to Francis, the owner, for running such a fantastic operation, and to Odeth, Jesca, Gordard, and of course, Mark. You all made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to visit again! Unglaublich schönes Ambiente. Mit Wasserloch in der Nähe (super Blick vom Pool und Restaurant aus) und täglich Elefantenbesuch am Wasserloch oder sogar in der Lodge. Außerdem gibt es Wasserbüffel, Wasserböcke, Warzenscheeine, Riesenwaldschweine und unendlich viele Vögel.
