Puncak Inn Bungalows

We stayed in a Deluxe twin room. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. No lift is available in the building. Our room is located on the third floor. Elderly may find it hard to walk to higher floors (up to four floors). The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, just that the musty smell was strong. Do close the window if no one is around. Monkeys do come to search for food. Room amenities include TV, ceiling fan, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities with electrical kettle, cloth hangers and luggage storage area. The ensuite bathroom consists of washing basin, mirror, toilet, standing hot/cold shower, floor mat, and body towels. Toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, and toilet paper are provided. There are power outlets in the room for charging electrical gadgets. Complimentary breakfast was simple but sufficient. Fried rice, fried noodle, omelet, baked beans, toast with jam/kaya/margarine, hot beverages and cordial juice. The dining environment was nice as we chose to sit outside of the building with roof glass shelter.

The Bungalows are Beautiful from the Outside but NOT well maintained on the inside. As run by the State Government. The Plus points are the beds are comfortable and clean. There are many hiking trails nearby. Ample parking space. We could fit easily 3 cars with another to spare if we wanted to. The cons are, as my unit sat on top of the hill the water pressure was EXTREMELY low which it didn't help that it had a water pump. We were told about this only at check-in. The Bathrooms are a safety hazard especially if you are bringing elderly. The Bathroom can be slippery and me and the wife did fall down due to this. Some rooms doesn't come with basic hand rails and there are no place even to hang your towels. The major issue i had with the unit i stayed in (Cecily/Kuantan) was the water pump was leaking and the water was leaking through the roof and their own solution was to give us a bucket to let the water drip and when the water eroded more from the ceiling they gave us towels to soak up the water. There was no initiative to either relocate us or fix the pump. The Unit had a lot of dead bugs & moths around the vicinity which makes me question if the cleaners bother to sweep the entire Bungalow.

Puncak Inn is really easy to find, just at the clock tower. Booked a studio from Agoda for Puncak Inn, upon checking in I was asked to go to Silverpark condo. So the location is a bit further. Would have been good if they declared that upfront. When i got there by 2.30pm the room was already ready for check in
